Very impressive and some technical painting to achieve that look.

Thanks! I have to confess, the painting is helped by excellent masks and decals from Syhart. Couldn't have done it without them.

Stunning mate!!!

Nice to see you cross the finish line with this one.  Did XV404 ever fly in this scheme?  For some reason I dont think she ever did unfortunately.  Very cool!

Thanks Anthony, sadly XV404 never flew in this scheme. Rolled out for a special Tiger Meet and then scrapped.

Looks great !

What a shame that they didn't put VX404 in a museum with that scheme.

Thanks! Yes, I agree. It must be crime that they scrapped this one :crying:

Well done! It looks spectacular.

Cheers,  Tom

Thanks Tom,

I was originally going to do the box scheme, complete with shark mouth. Then moved to a standard 74 sqn livery. But when I saw this scheme, it was a no brainer. As a bonus, the painting is actually quite simple. Three colours, easily masked, and no “metal” areas to worry about!

Oh yeah, I didnt spot that!  Maybe I should have done this one in 32nd instead!

Well that would have been splendiferous, but your FG.1 will be phantastic, accurate and look perfect with metal hot parts.

Perhaps you should consider doing a second one (FGR.2) in the tiger scheme? After all, you're doing the trailblazing bit with the FG.1, doing a second conversion will be easy

I checked the Syhart Decals website and they don't do the Tiger scheme in 1/32, so I guess you are off the hook.

Unless you know someone with a Silhouette cutter...
