Ralph-D
Hi, I found this picture in the internet and was insteandly fascinated. When it comes to art modelling by hand, I'm lost. This goes to all AM, who is willing and interested to produce this figure if there is an interest by the community? I hope the resonance is positive, I like to have it in 1/32. Cheers Ralph MikeC, Fanes and D.B. Andrus
chrish
Great picture, good idea but, man that would be an awkward thing to catch a nap on!

Kagemusha
You could do it by combining a seated lower half of a pilot with a standing upper half. Pretty certain Ultracast produce a pilots head with that type of hat, remove hat, take a Hornet sleeping head, cut off the top of the head and attach the hat, job pretty much done. The only German items are the cap based on the Einheitmutze and the pilot boots. The uniform is Romanian, with "riding breeches" and uniform jacket. If you look here, you can see some photos of pilots wearing that type of uniform http://www.radubstore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=113&products_id=415 HTH Radu Lothar, Ralph-D, D.B. Ralph-D
Thx for the feedback Radu, I focused only on the pilot boots. Regardless if German or Romanian pilot, I still like to have it as 1/32 figure. The Romanian figures available in your store are gorgeous. Can Mike do this too for your product line Romanian pilots? Radub
I would really like Mike to do more figures of Romanian pilots, but I doubt that it will be that pose. If you want to do a diorama, the aircraft itself was photographed from a few angles on that day. It was "Blue 1". Ion Dobran is a true living legend. Last year he flew during the parade honouring the 100th anniversary of the Union of Romania on 1 December.
