EricF
Hi everyone, Today to vary the work in progress, I painted the MB Mk5 It comes from the Avionics kit. This is the best available Mk5 on the market to my opinion. The bottom has to be sanded otherwise the head of the seat is touching the canopy when closed. Nothing dramatic since everything will be hidden in the tub. In the end the fit in the Aires tub is just perfect Some Alcad white primer had been sprayed Final result after painting using Prince August. For the black, I use to apply a final coat of black ink over the flat black. The satin effect is closer to the real thing. A final dry brush with graphite powder is preferable to the grey It gives a more realistic metallic effect even if we actually do not seat it on the pics due to lighting. Looks good in the cockpit See you soon Eric Cheetah11, Out2gtcha, Pfuf and 13 others

Squizzy 78
Eric that seat looks awesome! I love the look of the old ejection seats with what looks like a mass of different seat belts and straps, and the larger padded seat. But could you please let me know how you done the yellow and black stripes on the ejection handles?

This ink can be used to create contrast on black lateral console as well. It is far more fluid than an acrilic paint that you have to dilute and it stays very dark despite its fluidity. EricF
Hi fellows, The fighter versions of the Crusader are back. I have been mainly working on the Recce version so far to have the same level of progress as the fighter versions. Today I show how to easily attach the engine assembly in the fuselage and how to avoid an issue. If we strictly follow how the Aires kit had been design, it appears that the engine exhaust is out of the fuselage by around 2 mm. To correct it, this is here below how to proceed: 1- Reduce the diameter of the shoulder as show 2- Next, make a chamfer of the engine kit and on the resin too. It permits to move forward the after burner canal and to position the shoulder right inside the kit bulkhead. The result is that it is automatically centered in the fuselage. The final result here below Bye Eric Derek B, Pfuf, Marcel111 and 4 others
