Guest Vulcan32 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Hi, I´m thinking about doing the masters for a NF-104A. If there is enough interest, I would give them to my friends in Czech Republic for casting. I also ask, because I want to add decals and metal parts and the production depends on your interest. Cheers, Heinz reconspit 1
reconspit Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Hey Heinz, do you mean a new model or a conversion for the Italeri kit? Best wishes, Chris
Guest Vulcan32 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 A conversion for the Italeri kit, reconspit 1
Jack Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Heinz, very interesting project, but would such a conversion fit the old Hasegawa kit as well, and what would the conversionkit itself contain? Could you give us some more info on those?
Tomcatfreak Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Isn´t Wolfpack Design doing one??? AnthonyWan 1
ColinR Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I'd be remiss it I didn't mention that Wolfpak design http://www.wolfpack-d.com/ have had an NF-104 conversion in progress for some time ..
billwinkes Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 The NF-104 is one of my favorite aircraft -- X15, junior. I'd be part of the market for the conversion.
Darren Howie Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Is the NF-104 still being done via model art in Japan in concert with a reference book?
Guest Vulcan32 Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Model Art has cancelled it. @ Jack: i want to convert the 2 tail parts from the Italeri kit, nose and wing extensions from resin. Pitot tube and all the pipe work from metal. Decals, for the IP I have to find a way. Jack 1
Starfighter Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 If quality is good enough and if the price is affordable, I might be interested.
thierry laurent Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 FWIW, FSM made an excellent article showing how to convert the Hasegawa kit. This was published at least 30 years ago! Thierry Jack 1
