BloorwestSiR
A bit more progress. It's not as much as I'd hoped but I've been sick for a few days. I cleaned up a bunch of the resin storage that will be used on the Firefly. I had some extras so those will go on an AVRE Churchill that's almost done. The cans were painted olive drab and the packs were done in khaki. They were then given a wash with Vallejo Umber wash. airea
BloorwestSiR
Back to the Firefly itself, I assembled the remaining crew hatches and prepped them for paint along with the head- and taillights. The lights are moulded solid in clear plastic so I painted the back of them first in silver prior to the dark green. I think it worked out ok. And installed on the Firefly: It's getting closer to the finish line I think. Carl airea, BiggTim and Uncarina

ClumsyDude
Looking good Carl. You're doing a really convincing job on the camo as well as the packs. Jim

LSP_Ron
Looks great! Tracks are what are stopping me from starting my Panther, 1/35 airfield bull dozer and Panzer IV, all those monotonous little bits to glue together.
BloorwestSiR
looks nice Carl Looking good Carl. You're doing a really convincing job on the camo as well as the packs. Jim Looks great! I love the hessian tape turned out with some paint on it Thanks everyone! I'm happy with the way the hessian tape has come out. Looks great! Tracks are what are stopping me from starting my Panther, 1/35 airfield bull dozer and Panzer IV, all those monotonous little bits to glue together. I hear you Ron on the tracks. As a matter of fact, take a look at this fine pile of bits: Yup, 9 parts per link. Times 70 a side I think... I'm thinking of just doing a couple short runs to use as supplemental armour on the glacis plate. BloorwestSiR
Forgot to post the updated pics. I've added the hatches and stowage so all that's left are decals and a final weathering. airea and LSP_Paul
LSP_Ron
Looking good, and no I couldn't do those tracks. That would drive me completely nuts. BloorwestSiR
BloorwestSiR
Here's one for you Ron, I pulled this box out of the stash looking for suitable decals for my build: This is what I found: It had the decals I was looking for but was also full of Sherman tracks. A real nightmare of fiddly bits Anyways, I applied the decals and once dry, I'll give it a flat coat and a final weathering.
