DoogsATX
Recently wrapped this little number. Overall a very bipolar kit. Moments of greatness and moments of forehead-slapping aggravation. It'll probably be a while before I work myself up to tackle another Hasegawa Scooter. dora9, Radders, Menelaos and 3 others

DoogsATX
Well that is one way too cool Scooter...how did u manage to do such realistic weatherin? With this one I have to give a lot of credit to the black basing technique I use. It works really, really well for weary low-viz gray aircraft. First - prime in black: Then - put down a "marble coat". Small, tight spray pattern, lots of randomness. Built up slowly. Then - highly thinned blending coat to even it out without blowing out all the tonal variation. That's honestly most of the weathering on this one, outside of some oil washes to the landing gear. I also used Mig's new AMMO Panel Line Wash, which is amazing stuff. Brush on, wait a bit, and wipe off. No thinner or water or anything needed. andromeda673 and Dragon

LSP_Kevin
It looks fantastic Matt! I'm planning to try this "black basing" technique again on some upcoming builds. Far more effective than pre-shading at providing natural-looking variations in the resulting camouflage colours. Great stuff! Oh, what are you using as your backdrop for the photos? The subtle reflections look really cool. Kev
