tomprobert Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Very nice indeed - great attention to detail. One thing I did notice - I think you've got the bombs facing the wrong way on the right outer panel for the bomb-bay? I hope you don't mind me pointing that out It's great to see so many big B-17s on the go... for a B-17 nut like me it's heaven! Tom
elmarriachi Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 (edited) THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!! @ Tom: Yes - thank you very much, I changed it already when I tried installing it yesterday Looked a bit "strange" with the bombs wrong side mounted Hope you all had a Merry Christmas ! elmarriachi Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 Hope you enjoyed Christmas! Here a last update of the interior before mounting the 2nd half of the fuselage / the nose.... I hope that I have not forgotten anything .... or that I will not get any new idea when it is too late
krow113 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Nice pics and nice work. These OOB builds are all coming out looking different from each other. A real testament to how good this kit is for modelers.
SinuheH Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 WOW - that is amazing…. if I had a spare garage as a hanger, I'd get one of these kits! Lovely work, keep at it!
elmarriachi Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 Thank you It is a fantastic kit... I love working on it
Silver Dollar Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Michael, it looks like everything you need is there. That's great work.
Magic Mike Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 This might be a dumb question, but how did you get that amazing wood grain effect? MM
elmarriachi Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 Hi Magic Mike, these are wooden decals from Uschi van der Rosten and different kind of brown primers.... then brown and black washing BRMichael
