  1. My condolences. Even though we all love model building, family and life comes first. There's no problem or shame walking away from the work table to do what you need to do no matter how long it takes. In time, things will settle down and you'll get back to building when you can. Until that time, we'll patiently wait.
  2. Outstanding work. I set mine aside for a while until I can finish the banners I'm making.
  3. I have this kit also. I will build it someday when I finish a ton of other projects in front of me.
  4. Believe it or not, I haven't gone away. I'm working on so many things, so that I can get some of my hobby stash downsized a bit so I can make room for more goodies. I'm not sure when I'll get back to the model but I'm not going to leave this one indefinitely. I'll get back to it when I'm able. Catch you all a bit later.
  5. Great stuff I see here. Was that a Silk and Steel guitar string you used for the spring? It looks like the ones I used for the same solution.
  6. Thanks John. I should be back to the workbench very shortly (I Hope). I just let my mind take me in whatever direction it wants me to go. I'm lucky it hasn't lead me right to the gutter yet.
  7. Thanks. If I didn't have all the hobbies to do, I'd just sit around the house, eat and drink.
  8. LOLOLOL. Good to see you again. I've already done that. That's not what I'm working on. What I'm doing is tooling another leather Chinese dragon to complete a set of 2. Plus I'm making a reproduction AVG banner like the ones Chiang Kai Shek gave to the AVG members. There's one in the AF Museum. To get a real one, I'd have to pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $25,000 or several hundred bucks for a repro. I figured I'd just make one myself. Time to get out the sewing machine.
  9. Thanks Craig. I just need to get a few of theses other things done before I go back to the aircraft hangar. I haven't quit the build and I won't quit either. I'm involved in so many hobbies it's nuts.
  10. I'm looking forward to your return. Have a great time in the UK.
  11. I'm still here. I've been working on several different projects other than modeling.
  12. No problem Mark. I seem to be in the same boat.
  13. Ow!! Dang it, Martin. You knocked me right off my chair and onto the floor again with that control box. I'm going to have to get seat belts on that chair in the workshop.
