Guys, Check this place out: https://www.magicscalemodeling.com/shop/Plane-models-c22669503 Although they dont have a specific set for the P-38, they do have sets for the Mossie, B-25, and other twins too, so giving them a shout may lead to making something that you need. They even sell separate motors without lighting kits that may be of some use: https://www.magicscalemodeling.com/shop/Electric-engine-M70-for-1-72-1-48-1-32-and-1-24-scales-p101263053 BiggTim and D.B. A bit too pricy, though. I'm sure I can do it for a lot less buying my own components. I was hoping someone had some advice on what RPM, size, etc. but I'm going to give it a go one way or another. To avoid the prop to spin to fast.Use almost dead batteries. That way the motor gets less power. Or use a dimmer-switch. 1/24 th Airfix... phasephantomphixer
Here's my old LSP Article of a go at it; https://www.largescaleplanes.com/articles/article.php?aid=601 The motor works nicely without issues, prop from kit already centered. Brake line tubing super cheap. It continues into fuselage close to kit CG. BiggTim
