Jeep gets a wire cutter added. The reference photo I'm using shows a blackout light and guard on port fender. Tamiya provides the light, but no guard, so I faked one up from old P.E. remnants.
A quick database reveals three books that are more or less dedicated to the Walrus, if references are needed, and I imagine there are more.
Osprey Supermarine Walrus
Hallpark (Warpaint) Walrus
Mushroom Walrus
I'm in need of a second coffee table in my den anyway,... looks like I'll have to buid one, just to (eventually), house this monster, as it'll be much too massive for my existing display case.
Perhaps trivial (very trivial), but I managed to add all of the screen bolts to the engine deck last night. Even though this effort is mostly OOB, I still feel the need to add what I know is missing.
OK, got a little more work done on this project. I decided to add a Jeep to the scene, so I’m throwing together the (old), Tamiya kit I had laying around in the dungeon. Nothing fancy, just something as much for size comparison as anything.
Assuming you keep the inital clear coats light, you shouldn't have too many problems. I used to use Krylon clear all the time, and never had any issues, (except for the smell).
