  1. When this becomes available, I think I'm gonna have to get one. It looks great!
  2. Awesome! I started one years ago, it's 90% complete. Why I haven't finished it, I have no idea. Keep up the great work, Dan!
  3. Apoxysculpt is the best stuff on the planet. Mixes well, cures uniformly, and is non-toxic.
  4. Well done model there! I remember seeing a brown one in a parking lot and thinking that, if there was another, they'd make a fine set of slippers. I'd imagine the model is the size of a Zippo lighter.
  5. Casting for personal, non-commercial usage is legit, especially since you went thru the trouble of contacting him to try and buy more.
  6. Nice save, but a shame all that incredibly intricate work was all for naught.
  7. I'd love to do a big orange Erikson bird if I can source decals.
  8. Just know that a 1/32 Cranberry is gonna use a LOT of material and print time...
  9. Ok, what happened here? He's wished us all a merry Christmas and a wish for a good new year, and that's controversial? HUH?
  10. Just my .02 cents, but I think color accuracy was also affected by the realities of war. Sure, Bf-109e-3's had the same colors, but I doubt He-162s being built in caves had the same standards. It would be foolish to reject a paint batch that wasn't the exact shade of RLM whatever, I think they ran with what they got. That said, there is no way anyone can tell you with any authority that your colors are wrong.
  11. True. But you’d still have to do the periscope housing…..
  12. IIRC, Tamiya faithfully reproduced the Meteor that they had measured, not knowing it was an F.1 fuselage mated to a F.3 wing, which had airbrakes. A little putty and some sanding fixed the "problem", but back then everyone was up in arms about it.
  13. I think it sold well, despite the airbrake fiasco.
  14. Did they have NMF -1's? I thought they were all dark sea blue, and the NMF birds were the -3's that came later.
  15. No, look closely at the wing stripes, tell me what's off....... Ok, did some research seems like the innermost stripe is filthy white, where i thought it was camo.
  16. These blokes didn’t get the memo…….
  17. LSPer Ruzlkampf showed us how to do it, I did on mine and it was pretty painless. Search LSP and you'll find his F-4S build.
  18. I'd start with something small and simple, like a FJ-1 or F6U in 1/72. Enough work to cut your teeth and learn, but not get overwhelmed.
  19. Tigger has a 1/32 Chipmunk, but don't know which variant.
  20. IIRC, he made a few pre-production kits, then stopped. LSP Kev has one of the few kits.
  21. Ah, I'm glad it was a ruse. I know football fans can be rabid in their support for their teams, but I did think this went to far. Thanks for clarifying this for a non- footballer.
  22. I hope that this thread does not turn political, but this Yank working at the U.S. embassy in London was sacked for being a fan of England's world cup team, and English fans got mad? Am I missing something? https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/world-cup-qatar-us-england-embassy-official-fired-london-joke-video-rcna58803
  23. Well, it's a slatted 6-3 wing with the extra span of the -40 variant outboard of the ailerons, if that helps.
