  1. Brilliant, thanks for that mate! Looks like a great show and absolutely top quality work going on. Would love to come over one day.... Appreciate all the effort you went to load the photo's etc Cheers Anthony
  2. Well if it is twins, then I would LOVE a Hudson, Anson or Oxford. Ventura would be cool too.
  3. I think I missed the part on the wing shape. Looks ok to me in the pics but I haven't seen the plastic, was there an issue? I think this is what is being looked at. here are some photos I took of KA114's wing during construction. The wing structure inboard of the engines has a higher profile at the leading edge, this is to fair the radiators, this should help explain. This is the centre section, note the 'capping' on the fwd section. Anyway this is just to illustrate I think what was brought up. If anything, Airfix has more of an issue here in this regard on their 24th kit. I have had to file the top out of the outer wing sections leading edge to fix it. That is why I think the leading edge on the Airfix kit is so blunt outboard of the engines. Love that 'slide mould' technology, but it makes me wonder how I could detail/ spray the interiors. Very exciting indeed and less joins to clean up, especially the way they broke the fuse up. Cheers Anthony
  4. Absolutely sensational Brian, I really love what you have done with this kit. Makes me nervous to do mine as it is in an overall silver lacquer finish and the surface has to be perfect. Great inspiration, thanks! Cheers Anthony
  5. Heh Brad I was thinking "my mate Mark is coming over later and he is a Vet-erinarian ....why should I hug him!" Doh, sorry.....I will get my coat Lets hope HK have a Hudson on their to-do list. Thanks guys for the regular updates for us mortals on the opposite side of the planet! Cheers Anthony
  6. Just wondering if there had been any more progress on this super build? Really love what you have done so far Cheers Anthony
  7. Yep, pretty incredible isn't it Kev! Well done Ian, that pit looks sensational Cheers Anthony
  8. Hey Juhana, great to see another update! I am living vicariously through this build whilst I finish of a couple of commission builds.....getting close now though. Nice to see you got the firewall green and the nacelle sidewall interiors aluminium, great job. There is a lot of metal in a wooden aeroplane isn't there! Just loving the detail you are putting in, this kit sure needs it. Cheers Anthony
  9. Yep, that's right boys..... I have one coming now thanks to the generosity of Ade...thanks mate! So I will be able to look for myself soon. Cheers Anthony

  11. Hi guys Wondering if someone could help me out here. I see the Pacific Theatre boxing has 2 types of spinners. One being slightly different for the Aeroproducts prop. Could someone take a look at them both and let me know what the differences are(spinner not blades)? I seem to recall they modified the opening for the blade but would love someone to check for me, and any other differences there might be with the spinner itself.....a quick pic would be awesome for me to look at, but an explanation would be fine. Oh and anyone has this boxing and would not be using it then I would love to purchase it from you?? I am wanting to use one on my RNZAF one with the Grey Matter blades. Cheers and thanks in advance. Anthony
  12. Grass roots modelling this is! Brilliant stuff indeed. After seeing this I decided, that if you can put something like this together then I can do a C-47 when it comes out! Brilliant mate
  13. Juhana, sorry to hear of the grief your u/c bays are giving you.....however what we can see looks sensational! Looking forward to seeing more Cheers Anthony
  14. This is as good as it gets. I have to say though, one thing I love about your paint is how you have brought the blue down around to the bottom of the oil coolers. All too often this gets missed as many corsairs had their blue wrap around the leading edge quite a way....nice job mate!
  15. Thanks Kev! Much appreciated mate. Well only a small update, which as usual dosent show the amount of work gone in. I really wanted the top cowl to be really well fitting, so have glued it to the upper wing. I then had to shim and trim it to get a nice fit with an even butt fitted panel line. The rear wing fairing also needed attention and was built up with CA and blended back. The access panel for the coolant header tank was scribed, a fine hinge added(still to be refined) and teardrop fairing. Fastener detail has yet to be added but may just leave some of this off until the nacelles are finally glued into place. You will see here that I have rescribed the top cowl panel lines. Top surface sanded to correct profile to remove some of the upper curve and blend to rear fairing. I know this shot makes it appear the panel lines don't all line up, but when you hold together it is difficult to see what is scribed and what is but joined. Still loads to go, but I have had a bit on lately with other things and haven't had much time on the bench with this beast. As always thanks for looking in Cheers Anthony
  16. Loic, I am awaiting the new F4U-1A boxing coming out next month. Are you/Grey Matter planning on releasing the set with the later tank you originally made? Keen to get one Cheers Anthony
  17. Totally awesome! Wish I could work at your speed with such great results!
