  1. Nice work on a very not so easy build. You won in the end! Steve,
  2. Great work on teh G. Nice work you did scratching. Steve,
  3. Sorry to say Infiniti is going to pack up shop...So I dont think we are going to see a B5N in 1/32 BUMMER! NOW if someone could do a good 1/32 F4U-4 I think that would sell well!!! Steve
  4. Perhaps a 1/32 CR.32??? That was used in the Spanish Civil war and early stages of WWII?? IT may be a little esoteric?! OR a 1/32 A5M Claude. NOW I would be keen on that one!!! A5M2/A5M2B/A5M4...BUT I dont think Italeri ever done any Japanese types?? BUT again they do a distribution agreement with Tamiya ...An Italeri tooled 1/32 Claude in a Tamiya box is another sales market for them??? AND lets get radical...A new 1/32 Tamiya tooling of a prototype A6M1 Zero Jiro Horikoshi's Dream!! Steve
  5. My vote goes for the Hasegawa kit. Easier to correct . Some of Trumpeter flaws are too much to correct and the price difference in the kit too?? Steve,
  6. yes the comments are great Meng DR. 1 is a peach too and the Typhie is a great kit...But this Spitfire is pretty special. Ok on the Sprue gates for Airfix.... I am not so enamoured by Tamiya since putting the sprue gate attachment point on a mating surface isnt great....Even if you manage to cut it straight off [after cutting the part out around the sprue with good cutters].....THEN with a new blade or razor saw remove the attachment point from the mating surface???? There is sanding needed and it is real easy to over sand and create a gap. I really prefer the days when the sprue gate was attached to the surface and sand it that way ..it did not interfere with the mating surfaces of the build.. Well it must be the cutting edge of IM tech because Kotare and other new kit do the same. UNLESS this is the dominance of Chinese methodology on IM mold making??? Since I think most molds are made in China now--Probably even Tamiya?? Mating surface attachment point is NOT a good idea. Especially for a novice modeler?!?!?! SO I am glad Airfix doesnt do this.!!!! Steve
  7. OK simple answer ! I cant think of any better kits OUT OF THE BOX?!?!?! Steve
  8. IT is a real nice kit of a classically beautiful airframe. Now I am a lover of the late mark bubbletop Spits but that is another story.....1/24 is an impressive scale . Now how about a F4U Corsair in that scale ..>WOW! But still not as pretty as the Spitfire....only airfame in the jet age that comes close is of course the Hawker Hunter! Steve,
  9. TOP NOTCH work! Cant wait to see your finished airframe! Steve
  10. SO has the new 2022 Airfix Spitfire IXC taken the crown as BEST 1/24 kit of any aircraft?? Steve,
  11. It is always work when you "have' to do it!!. I was thinking $500-650 range so I guess I am in the ballpark. Let me know I am a builder [some amateur self casting too] so I dont expect Tamiya and Understand fitting feddling to get the kit to come together BTW I can do nose weights if needed for the kit. Just need the nose section to cast up white metal nose weights? Cast in Bizmuth 255 low temp. Steve,
  12. My bet is Fall 2023 for the Macchi....in 1/32 from Italeri. More time hopefully mean more time to prepare for an better release..decals detail parts and fit!!! Stefano
  13. OK I am in Print this up as a kit and I will buy one! Can some one this site do decals?? Steve
  14. Awesome work It inspires me to start my 1/48 Eduard Lysander ...LOT easier than yours. But is sure looks nice in 1/32!! Now if someone decided to do two big resin 3-d printed updates sets for say the two matchbox kits I am in: -Matchbox Lysander -Matchbox Sea Venom OF COUIRSE Steve,
