  1. This is the best upgrade of a plastic sailing ship model I have ever seen. I've build three wooden ship models over the years and this is just as detailed as the wood kits. Make sure your base has some real weight to it. When I was a kid back in the early 70's my dad built the Revell Cutty Sark with full sails. As soon as it was done he put it pride of place on the book shelf by the window. Shortly after my mom opened the window for a little air. The rest was history, sails work.....
  2. Why not treat it like your 1/144 airliner builds and paint them out in black or dark grey? I've pulled out my Revell 747 Ed Force One kit. I think I am going to start that tonight, you've inspired me.
  3. I had to run to the mall this morning, walked by the Lego store. IT WAS NUTS even at 10:30am. Huge line up for May the 4th be with you sale.
  4. He’s a mirror image of the guy second on the right???
  5. As a schooled draftsman, I can say you are absolutely correct. It literally relates to nothing that makes sense from a scale perspective. Admittedly ships have the same issue. 1/350 etc

  8. Ok Ok, Spitfire Cf-104 Lanc Oh and the there is the......
  9. It just occurred to me that renaming this topic might give Bob some more mileage. So renamed it is....
  10. Didn't I send you all my Revell Hurri stuff too Kev? The stuff I got off LSP_Dan?
  11. Yeah your right, I thought it was per pc not in qty.
  12. Very nice stuff. It would cost a small kings ransom to plumb an engine with it though. Worth every penny for each piece but it would add up quickly.
  13. Glad to hear this (but not the fall, ouch!!!) Welcome back Bob!
  14. Walking in the mall and walked by this. Bought it. Not sure why as I likely will never build it but I used to see the real one in Heathrow and Dubai all the time. It is 40 inches long when done. I really have no place for it.
  15. Today April 1, 2024 marks the 100 year anniversary of the RCAF.
