  1. Stunning. Great job on accenting the corrugated skin! Being a monoplane, looks like the perfect WnW "starter-kit" subject.
  2. Unless they're waiting for the demand/market prices to jump so they can gouge you like Tamiya that has a $200+ average per 1/32 scale release. The Chinese have a long history of being patient. Remember they're being asked to cater to our sentimental/historical whims, not we to theirs. That leaves the key question which is how much can they get us to pay.
  3. Ever notice that you only find things in the last place you look?
  4. I know I would like one to go with my 1/32 H/C F4F and 1/48 Accurate Miniatures TBF builds. But I do prefer Trumpeters' prices over the Japanese stuff.
  5. If I got it right, it might have been bought from an independent supplier named John who features them on this website: http://umm-usa.com/onlinestore/index.php?cPath=21_162 When I called he answered his phone promptly, was very helpful, they ship priority and take PayPal.
  6. Looks good to me. I like it better then the trend to give the seams and rivets more definition then the main overall finish that in some cases can make the plane look like a case for the scrap yard.
  7. Beautiful work! Your engine could easily be displayed separately.
  8. WW II Irish national insignia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_Air_Corps Looks like their main action was shooting down stray barrage balloons.
  9. I always gloss clear-coat any dull/flat paint job, usually with an acrylic, before doing anything else. And I guess because I don't "lay it on thick" I haven't had the "detail-loss" issue. It also makes a great base for decals.
  10. I would use this: AKA, Tamiya Enamel Wash Black, available from: https://www.1001modelkits.com/model-search?orderby=position&orderway=desc&search_query=wash
  11. I think what our new friend Mr. Ayrton means by "rookie" is not in reference to his obviously higher level of skilled painting and finishing his model airplanes. I clicked on the photos and had no problems at all. But, then also, I use the Avast free anti-virus and their excellent browser software. In fact I just got a Trumpeter SBD-5/A-24B kit and I intend to use this build as a "go-by"!
  12. ! Thank you for showing us what can be done with one of my favorite subjects!
  13. Since your business website appears to be based in Russia, if I wanted four of them, how much would be the S & H and how long of a lead time should I expect?
  14. OK, Mike I just got through posting my tried and proven technique for the benefit of all on this website: http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=74570
