  1. I dont know if youve priced a mattress recently, but we recently bought two for the house, and i was stunned at how expensive mattresses are nowadays. I didnt see anything under a thousand for queen size.
  2. Florescent lighting is very hard on colors, believe it or not. see if the epoxy has uv protection.
  3. I just can't get Lt. Frank Drebbin out of my head with that narration.
  4. Holy COW. Man, that is humbling to watch this develop. Master class here, Jay.
  5. Any other mortal modelers both happy that this turned out so well, and slightly discouraged that John’s repairs look better than their own first non screwed up efforts?
  6. Sorry you were under the weather, i caught it over the holidays and mine was pretty mild but no fun. this is brave modeling and i share your non love of scribing. I will just have to live vicariously watching. looking great. do you worry about the super glue bond? I agree you got a lot of contact area but i always manage to shock the join whenever i rely on super glue and it comes loose. Just asking, i am way behind you in the experience department on this. I have a couple projects coming up that involve resin parts. this is a great build to watch!
  7. Man, what a body of information this site provides….
  8. Ahhhh! Flashbacks to my build. P47s and fuselage paint issues, is there a worse way to start the weekend? Well, it is a massive shame but I am confident you will not only stabilize but continue to dazzle with your results. I am sorry this happened, though, I feel your pain.
  9. Likely because of the reaction here? Doesn't seem like a deal to anyone?

  11. One of the times that I wish I had known more before sharing. These deals tend to vanish quickly so I just posted it as habit.
  12. I don't do modern, even 1960s modern, and remember some issues raised over this company/kit, but this is a pretty cheap price. Looks like ANG livery. Just passing it along. https://spruebrothers.com/lightning-deals/
  13. Seatbelts really look the part. Man, that's a LOT of canopy frames you dealt with. Looking great, keep up the great work.
  14. https://spruebrothers.com/lightning-deals/ the last lightning deal ended quickly. Mk3 if that is important. corrected the company name.
  15. Hi Dennis. I picked up a PCM kit, its a TA 152c. Ive heard good and not so good about them. I dont think my skills are up to snuff yet, but i will watch how you tackle the rough spots and take notes. this is coming along nicely. There arent many of these built up.
  16. Interesting. The parts count on the Revell website (?) entry says 408 parts, while the box top says 280 parts...
  17. That is what a class act looks like.
  18. Seconded. Jay, your willingness to scrap an attempt and do it again until it is right is an inspiration. Easysix, you're no slouch yourself.
  19. Yes, should be any day now.
  20. I use Tamiya paints pretty frequently, but for aircraft painted exteriors, I am currently 100% sold on MRP lacquers.
  21. For those following, I ordered over the weekend and it was delivered yesterday. I am in the souCal area.
  22. Man, that thing is HUGE. My "big" P 47 would fit under the wing.
  23. Uhh…thanks? wasnt planning on a spit but at that price i think an XVI can be made to fit my niche of ultimate piston power.
  24. Looking great, Jay. If you're in need of a mojo tune up, I watched Devotion last night and it is chock full of Corsair action.
