  1. This kind of thing goes on with armor modelling too. I've seen "moving" tanks with unsecured Fuel drums, unstowed tarps laying over engine vents, anti-tank shells or panzerfausts laying on the back of tank destroyer that has a long range gun. But they must think that nothing would fall off... Or my personal favorite is a derelict tank that still has all of it's tools still on it. Real derelicts are quickly stripped by the local population. There is also a tendency to over-crowd dioramas in the armor world, too. I quit commenting on it... nobody listens.
  2. My money is still on the Hurricane I. Lysander... as if!
  3. Very nice job on this one. Love the weathering.
  4. It turned out great, Max. I was watching this one for a while, but got distracted and missed out on the later stages.
  5. A truly wonderful job, John! So many great eye-catching details in your surface work.
  6. haha... It's also thinking of the other neglected kits in my stash... stuff the missus got me.
  7. The A4 is a cool looking bird. IDF camo will make it even cooler.
  8. Cool topic! I never knew the F5 ever saw combat. I thought it was just a trainer.
  9. that cockpit looks great. I was sucked into painting the ammo too... but never saw it again.
  10. Looking like a WNW kit now! If you ever wanna make a nice brown stain/varnish, Tamiya Clear orange mixed with the tiniest amount of Tamiya clear blue makes a nice brown... Hafta play with it though. Blue is way more potent and easily turns the orange into green. If you have tamiya clear red, you can even play with it a bit more. Keep em' coming! er... I mean keep up the good work.
  11. This puts a big crimp in my interest. Romance ruins war movies.
  12. I'm not a big jet fan by any stretch. But the plane carried the load successfully for a long time. Hard to argue with success. And still it's better than most Kommie crap that ever got called an "aircraft".
  13. That's a crazy amount of detail, Ernest. I'm sure you can make anything you want. I'm curious about the deadeyes... were they always walnut? Or is it that your AM deadyes are walnut? I remember reading about Peter the Great's navy. They didn't have the hardwoods available in Russia, so the ships were built from wood available there. I would dread the ratlines... I think I would try to get each one to have the correct sag... and mess it all up. Not even sure which material i would use. I hate having stuff that looks conspicuously over scale. I salute your dedication.
  14. Great pics of great models. Thank you for sharing.
