The Dude
Yup, jumped on some Russian colors this morning. $60 in paint with shipping figured I will give these a try since everyone raves about them. We will see if they live up to the hype.... MikeMaben

The Dude
Dude , wear a mask or open a nearby window first. Lol, ain't that the main reason to airbrush paints? To bask in the aroma? LOL. Actually are they that bad, I thought they were acrylics? Edited April 27, 2018 by The Dude

MikeMaben
Actually are they that bad, I thought they were acrylics? Well they do make acrylics (aqua) but the also make acrylic lacquers. The bottles with a white cap are aqua acrylics (water based). The Dude

Actually are they that bad, I thought they were acrylics? Acrylic lacquers, sort of like Tamiya spray paints. They smell like lacquer paint. The smell is why I'm not using them. Right now, my main go to is Mission Models Paint, which is an odorless acrylic. The Dude

Aw crap I didn't catch that. I'm glad they are similar to tamiya spray which I really like but I ordered the acryl thinner and primer too. I guess that won't work. Oh well. :/ Edited April 27, 2018 by The Dude MikeMaben
modelingbob
Put my order in this morning. Now I'm $107 poorer!!! First time ever, that every color I needed was in stock!!! Hope, the in-stock trend continues!!!
Gerhard
We dont get them here, and if I order from the US, will take about 3 months.
Jasta 14 addict
Actually are they that bad, I thought they were acrylics? Pure lacquer based paint (cellulose). Very strong smell and very bad for health, but.......the best paint there is, at the moment i'm trading all my Tamiya paints for the MRP range. When you use them, just use a spray booth and a good mask.
Out2gtcha
Yep, its an acrylic particulate suspended in a lacquer medium. They work and shoot through the AB better than any other single paint Ive ever shot. WELL worth the time and money to collect!

Out2gtcha
Order placed! FINALLY got a hold of some of the MRP white aluminum, some US Navy yellow orange for the F7F codes, some SEA Camo grey and Field Green for my OV-10A project, another bottle of glossy DSB to augment the two bottles I already have for the F7F, and finally some US Navy light Gull Grey, equivalent to "Boeing Grey" for my upcoming Air New Zealand "All Blacks" 777 ............... And they had them ALL in stock! Thanks for the heads up Mike. MikeMaben
