Erwin Posted March 16, 2024 Posted March 16, 2024 Hi all, I managed to buy this at the Antwerp convention today. I needed to find something for this GB. coogrfan, denders, Martinnfb and 3 others 6
Erwin Posted March 18, 2024 Author Posted March 18, 2024 (edited) First progress. Don't compare this ancien kit with Hasegawa or Trumpeter. No cockpit and engine worth showing. Bad fitting.I added a small screw inside to fix the wings stronger to the fuselage. So,again, this will be all about the "overall look" I plan to do this as a "museum" plane with full stripes. Alain Gadbois Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Nice find! Big in 1/32 scale, yet as many parts as a 1/72 scale kit! Fast and fun build! Alain Erwin 1
dennismcc Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Nice kit for it's day, I built the SEAC version alongside the bubble version of the kit and enjoyed both builds. Cheers Dennis Erwin 1
Erwin Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 (edited) The main build is done with a rough base coat. This also fills the small gabs. From now on it all about painting. Edited March 21, 2024 by Erwin coogrfan, Alain Gadbois, BradG and 2 others 5
Erwin Posted March 29, 2024 Author Posted March 29, 2024 (edited) Far from perfect. But good enough for me. Painting is not based on a real P-47. Will add some tail marking or extra stripes to dress it up a bit. Edited March 29, 2024 by Erwin MikeMaben, Archimedes, BradG and 5 others 8
