mozart Posted November 19, 2020 Author Share Posted November 19, 2020 (edited) That certainly used to be true Phil down our way, I remember very clearly when I lived on Portland seeing Hunters every Thursday (the Thursday War we used to call it) doing low level mock attacks on Naval frigates in the Channel, I think they were based at Yeovilton then. The role now falls to Cobham Aviation Services operating out of Hurn (Bournemouth) airport flying Dassault Falcon 20 jets, nowhere near as glamourous. There is at least one two seater Hunter and several single seaters at the ATAC facility at the Newport News, Va airport. All are parked outside for all to see.
