Really nice work on the sidewall. Lucky you - I'm still waiting on a notification from Alley Cat for my conversion set.

Thank you Fanes, I think Alley Cat pretty well cast to order so the longer delay in receiving my order but no problems for me as I have plenty of other builds under way at the moment.

That has to be one of the best early sidewalls I’ve ever seen!

Thank you Gaz, currently re working the throttle quadrant/ linkage on the other sidewall. There seems to be quite a bit of difference on these early 109's.

Looks nice Andy , what are you using for references ?

Hi Mike, I'm using SAM Publications data file number 9, "The Messerschmitt Bf 109 Part 1. Prototype to E variants.

Has a large number of excellent images of a very late A variant.

Yeah that's a nice book. Like you say, that's a late A in the walkaround.

One thing I've found in researching these early 109s is that there are

many cases of 'some do , some don't' as far as features and markings.

Early development meant numerous changes in a relatively short span

of time. Looks like you're having fun  :speak_cool:

nice cockpit job, going to follow this one,  want to do a spanish  one someday, by the way  this is the only "known" color picture of Legion Condor 109 showing the grey color, pitty is too blurry and far away!

cheers

... the B differs so much from the Emils.

Hi Andy, if you're building a B , I wouldn't rely to much on that Russian walkaround

as B-1s were the first production a/c and were different from the A-0s. Do you have

a copy of German Aircraft Interiors by Merrick ?

So back from holiday to find my Alley Cat conversion waiying for me, on first looks it all looks very nicely cast with no flaws in a light cream resin.

Spent a little time this weekend cleaning up the nose parts for a test fit on the fuselage, first up was to cut the Eduard fuselage in readiness.

No going back now so on with cleaning up the resin nose section.

and together in readyness for test fitting with the fuselage.

and a test fit to the fuselage.

Looks like a pretty good fit which is a relief so back to the cockpit conversion work but also need to start having a look at the wing conversion work as well.

Looking good Andy.  Less work than my Cutting Edge mod

Thanks Mike, had a quick look at your 109 thread and its definitely a slightly different approach Cutting Edge took, the Alley Cat set is for the Eduard kit and seems to fit well and also the Eduard kit has an E-1 lower wing included so makes life a little easier.
