Beautiful work Jan!! I love your attention to detail!!

thanks a lot Alan, but to be honest Im not satisfied overall with my work on this one. Can see a lot of flaws I made during the build. I wish that I can build in such clean and professional way as you do.

small update

was working on base a little bit

I have used black foamex board

firstly, coat of surfacer applied and masks for yellow stripe

base white applied, after it GSI Orange Yellow

Tamiya middle grey used as base color, shadowed with thinned stone grey

47e54abd-f9c4-4953-9d77-ea70f38776e5_zps

 

and black pigment mixed with tamiya thinner used to creates black shades

will put matt varnish on it and some more pigments and oil streaks to tone down yellow

and MJ1 bomb lift truck done...

this was quite straght forward build with no problems

painted with GSI orange yellow, weathered with Ammo Stone grey panel line wash, and airfield dust pigments

still need to add hydraulic cables and do some fading...

So that´s it for this WIP thread

I will just finish some minor stuff, make photos and publish it in RFI in upcoming days  :bow:

 

All in all, this build took more time than I planned

I´m happy with the result, even I´m not satisfied with several details and mistakes I have made. But still learning and improving my skills  :)

 

ZM A-1J is great kit, and Videoaviation stuff are first class products

Already looking forward to starte another Zoukei mura challenge (most probably TA-152H-0)
