Urs
Guess you have to wait to see it unmasked.😂 Had some afternoon work with the french colors on wings and tail. That evening l'll apply the mask for the Vicky cowling and tail. Edited September 26, 2015 by Urs Girlscanplay2

alain11
hi well nice paint job , I like the effects on the yellow paint ......btw , do you know how some French people call the yellow / red stripes ??? the slave pajama (pyjama) .....nice build anyway Alain Urs
Urs
@Alain - whats the french name of slavery pyjama? Pyjama enslave? Finished it on my Bloch. As said above my main focus to get a moderate contradt of yellow and red. My Bloch l have chose to make has the lower cowling remained in yellow while the tail plane portion of vertical fin where it meets the stabilisator is red here instead of more common yellow used there. Now l'll let her dry and start with camo'ing tomorrow. Lars Befring and Girlscanplay2

LSP_Kevin
That's some fantastic masking and painting, Urs! Very smooth indeed. I wasn't quite convinced by the mustard shade of your yellow mix before, but now I see it looks perfect in context. Kev Urs
alain11
@Alain - whats the french name of slavery pyjama? Pyjama enslave? hi First of all , sorry if I mess up your post , but a short explanation can be useful .... After the surrender in June 40 , the "new" Vichy government , kept the three colors roundels associated with the yellow / red stripes . these stripes were ORDERED by the occupying force , that's why they were called " slave's bands" or" slaves's pyjamas" ....you can easily understand what does it mean for some French people ....not the most glorious part of the French wings during WWII ....but it's colorful , and eyes catching ....isn't it ?? Alain enslave is a good definition too !!!! Alain Urs

Urs
@Kevin while searching the net l found many plastic models which seemed oversone in constrast until l found this cardboard model in 1/33 scale. Girlscanplay2

Urs
Today l layed a base of XF-1 over the entire belly and highlighted up with changing mixes of XF-25/XF-2. First when the upperside got its basic camo colors and some gighlight too l'll also have further work with heavily thinned desert yellow here. Urs
Yesterday l layed the basics for the 3-tone upper side mixed with Tamiya colors. Its still very basic and l have to correct some camo issues which l will work out on Monday. After fifixing it l'll start highlight. I'm really curious about the Vichy "Tenue de forçat" contrast to tha kind of dark camo. Lars Befring
