So its very possible that photo is on a Essex class... tomv87 Posted January 12, 2016 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Mal- Yes, Bunker Hill was an Essex class, but this book has very few pics of Essex class, only escort carriers. I looked through it for more photos of the elevators (like you are seeking), but I could find no better shots. I think the detail is nice, but may not be exactly like you are seeking. Mal_Belford Posted January 13, 2016 Author Share Posted January 13, 2016 Constructed a mockup...easier to see in 3d..Found a Carrier deck jpg on the internet...printed it out on several A4 papper...took a LP cover for stiffness....tapestry lol..mfit edge to edge... Took some styrofoam boards to level it up...and glued it...a greypaper for themlift... Using Ikea Gladsax LP frame...as i love the metalframing.... The challenge is appealing.....as that is one thing that drives me alot.....never tried then Do it..and have fun .....Life is to short to drink bad wine i think....
