Oh, well, supersonic porn. Yes, that is a good reason to readjust any build :evil_laugh:

I know the "artwork" and the story from an article in a german modelling magazine  B)  but was not aware of the aviators name. You know, a nude supersonic girl trumps all :wicked:

Well, in Germany porn is allowed, while swasticas are banned. Just unable to remember if it was reverse in the states

have fun with the fit of the Avionix cockpit.  I was sorry to hear you went with it.  My opinion (and I know we all have them) is the Aires cockpit fits better and it takes care of the oversized front instrument panel.  I hope it al works out well for you.  Is the pilot able to supply you with any period photos of the a/c

Hey Bruce

Ya dance with what ya brung!    I already have this set and no sense in wasting it if I can make it work. I looked at the Aries pit in Mike's build

and with a pilot and canopy closed I figrured It be OK. Pit fits fine and I started surgery on the IP,

about the same as what I planned for the kit-pit in the F.

Vic is out of town for a week and said he would contact me when he's home, I have not ask him about pics yet.

Thanks

Thanks Vitali

You know all the issues people say about this kit and the corrections and the A/M sets and :blah:  :blah: :blah:

Mine is the RIVETS!!  If you look at photos of the fuselage you see Panel Fasteners, but do you see rivets?

I see a Crap-load of  SPOT WELDS, SPOT WELDS, SPOT WELDS.  The wings aren't bad as the panels are virtually SCREWED on.

So now comes the REALLY FUN part, filling 105 bi-zillion RIVETS that do not exist :clap2: SEE YA !!!!!

Jack, get some Gunze Mr Surfacer in the spray can and give it a good coat then after sand smooth which should tone them down or are you going to go with super glue and remove them totally?

Hey Vitali,

I love for my wrist to scream from sanding Sup Glue  plus some of them I 'm saving as panel fastener screws. I'llpost some pictures

a little later, I'm just checking in while I take a break.....I did manage to score a T-6 today for a Good Price.

Paul I also scored a couple on cowls for the Corsair and sanded some rivets     Not a bad day so far!

watch'in me

Start of Rivet Elimination  Week !  Super glue on a tooth pick makes less mess and is easier to leave some for fasteners  Sorry for the yellow look, I didn't change the fluorescent light.    The front and rear have just been sanded, but no filler. Looked ok with the eyeball, but not with the camera.  I have to be careful because of the

"aluminum" Paint will show everything.   Pay me now.......Pay me later?IMG_0317.jpgIMG_0313.jpgIMG_0315.jpg
