jmreed76 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi Guys, Calling this one Done. "Well except for the burner can" It hasn't been glued yet. Built off the Academy F-16I Sufa kit with a few Tamiya F-16 kit add ons, Intake, Exhaust donut shroud and wing tanks. Painted with Mr Color paints and washed with artist oils. decals are a mix of TwoBobs and Afterburner and the serial number was cobbled from the Sufa kit decals. It was a fairly challenging build for me to complete but, I'm glad that I stuck it out and finished it! I apoligize for the photos as I'm not much of a Photograper...LOL! Hope you guys like it!
jmreed76 Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 Fnal one. Thanks for looking Gentlemen! Mike Daywalker, timvkampen and Out2gtcha 3
Pete Fleischmann Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Fantastic job Mike..she's a beauty. The finish is dead-nuts on. Wonderful job fitting the Tamiya intake too- My only beef with your model is the markings! I would have tried to talk you into doing my jet: 90-786! Cheers Pete timvkampen and Daywalker 2

jmreed76 Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 Thanks a lot guys!!! Kev, Yes Sir...Thank you for considering my build Sir!!!
Daywalker Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) Beautifully done Mike, she looks absolutely fantastic! Bravo on the little details, such as the hi-vis AMA pod- nice! One of the nicest Vipers I have ever seen, bar none! BTW, you really did an excellent job cleaning up the canopy mold line. On some builds I have seen, if the model is held at just the right angle, you can faintly see an optical "flat spot" where the mold line was sanded out. Yours shows no flat spot at all, well done! Not an easy task to do correctly. Edited January 11, 2014 by Daywalker Out2gtcha 1
