I have gone back with a little more, as the clear coat didn't blend it as much as I had hoped. Another quick clear coat in the morning should fix her up and have her ready for decals! Masked and painted the antennas on the bottom of the nose with a light gray And also masked and sprayed the refueling doors on the spine. Decals are next, so stay tuned! I began the decal stage today, having never worked with Afterburner Decals before I am taking it slow to make sure everything is OK. I put on two small stencils on the bottom of the intake, and will them cure before adding clear over them to make sure all is well. In the meantime, I finished the exhaust. I am using the Aries set, and found that photographing the deep F-16 exhaust challenging! I think it looks better in real life than the photos, just cannot capture all of the subtle paint and pigment effects. Here's a couple of photos of how it looks...
