Spencer Pollard
hello, welcome and....wow! how cool does that Mossie look????? lovely build / painting... does the kit go together well, and what if any non-kit parts are you using? thanks for posting Nick Thanks for the comment. To answer your questions, the kit goes together very well indeed and I've built it from the box with no extras - what you see is what you get! Kostucha
Spence, Great-great work good Sir! I absolutely LOVE your paint work. Taking such a colour and not one bit of it is boring or flat. Awesome work giving it a used look, that is both believable and VERY effective in this large scale! Mark.
Kostucha
Well heck! I wasn't going to buy one of these but now I guess I'll just have too! I wonder if the paint manufacturers will start putting paint in quart bottles for builds like this? LOL John Hahaha, I was thinking the same thing - how many of those small bottles does this need? The wing alone has more surface area than most kits... Its just hard to believe looking at those wings... 27 inches! By the way Spence, how did you find that single piece wing section? Warped at all? Fitment issues anywhere?
bcauchi
Great work spencer. It looks like a great kit with lots of detail. I would imagine for a huge model in that scale. It looks great, and you are doing an excellent job.

Spencer Pollard
Hi Everyone - I hope that you're all well today! Thanks for the very kind words on my model - they are very much appreciated! Another small update. As you can see, I've applied most of the decals and started on weathering the model with oil paints which have both helped add dirt and also darken the colours somewhat, so that they are closer to the shades that they should be, rather than the muted tones that I chose to use. Wow! What a job this has been... Still, I'm really happy with the results and I feel that I'm now starting to break the back of the mammoth project! I hope that you like it! Erwin
Hi Great! Let's watch again at "633 Squadron" But those Mosquitos were bombers with fake MG's. You can see that the clear nose was painted over.

Daywalker
Really, really nice work Spence! The subtle shading is very well done- noticeable but not quite visible (if that makes sense!). Looking forward to the next installment.
