  2. Hi Anthony, Great, great build, I love it. That picture from Derek sure makes me wonder if you would try to do that on this build. I hope so..... Cheers Rick
  3. Nice!! I always wonder do they read or fly them? What happened to the stars and bars on the left upperwing? It looks like a piece came of or is it just me? Looks great Rick

  5. Hi Anthony, Just like Chuck said, take a break, look the other way for a while and come back when you start missing it. I have allways kits in different stages lying around, no sweat. Just start on the landing gear or something like that? Cheers Rick

  12. Great great Tempest what a beautifull build. The last mile is always the longest right? Good luck with the zipper, it is a nice model. Cheers Rick
  13. Hi Ben, Thank you for the kind words. I want to give the masks another try, I want to cut them out of Tamiya tape this time, if that fails I want to use decals and use your kind offer. But first restore the parts that were spoiled yesterday. Rick
  14. Hi Albert, Thanks for the kind words. I guess I was quite frustrated yesterday, but hey this is fun right? The mask are more difficult when you applie them in a curve or a bending, a flat surface is not that difficult. I will figure it out someday. Rick
  15. Hi Chuck, I sure sucks. I have an idea to restore it. After sanding I give it a coat of medium gray and after that a light gray coat. For the undersite I will use the light gray coat first before applying the white. Something like that will work, although I must take care not to make sharp edges. What do you think? Cheers Rick
  16. Hi Anthony, I promise I won't bin it, thank you for the kind words. Will get back to it in a few days, if work permits. Rick
  17. Just one of those days........ I was making an effort to get the stars and bars painted on. Made the masks and was aproching it the same way as Ben did, first the blue and after that the white. And then things went terribly wrong, I must have stretched the masks or something like that but I could not get everything lined up. So at the end of the afternoon I ended up with a trashcan filled with tape and masks, and a attempt to cover up the mistakes didn't really work. I resisted the urge of dumping the whole lot, but to be honest I am quite sick and tired of this thing right now. I will just leave it for a while and make up my mind later. Just strip all the paint off and start all over again? Maybe just buy a decal sheet and learn to use those for a change? One thing went right, number 14 on the front gear door. Just grin and bare it I guess. Rick.
  18. Hi Brian, Even watching it drives me nuts!! Looks absolutely brilliant!! Rick
  19. Hi Chuck, Looks great, just love the dirty look. Maybe throw some mud ad it? Rick
  20. Is it the bent on the lower part of the intake? I am puzzled about what I need to see. Anthony again a great show!! Rick
