  1. That's how I managed to get mine. I was debating between this version and the USAS version, but ultimately decided on this version and picked up the USAS Camel also.
  2. That looks great! Unfortunately building my own isn't an option as I don't own any of the tools required and buying them would be significantly more expensive than just buying a pre-built spraybooth.
  3. Soldering scares me, but it's definitely something I have to learn for some of the armor PE sets I have. Do you have any recommendations for soldering kits/irons for starters?
  4. The rule of securing small PE pieces is that if it's not where you want it, it will stick instantly, and if it is where you want it, it won't stick at all. I usually use Mercury Adhesives CA and don't have any issues. If you're worried about strength, epoxy would be the way to go, but you would have to hold the part in place for 5 mins or longer. Another option would be G&S Hypo Cement. I use it mostly for clear parts (though it can craze clear parts if you get it on them) as it's much stronger than white glue. It is a bit of a pain to use as it wants to string everywhere.
  5. Anyone have any spraybooth recommendations? I'm looking for something a little larger as I do have some 1/32 aircraft to paint. One I'm considering is this one: https://a.co/d/1XbQFuN It's a bit on the pricier side, but it's big, has lights, long vent outlet, and I've heard good things about Master.
  6. If you're not in the mood to build, don't force it. Consider doing other things like cleaning and organizing your workbench or doing other hobbies like puzzles.
  7. I'll definitely DM you when I get to the rigging stage. I bought some GasPatch turnbuckles, EZ line, and some thin brass tubing and sheet for the rigging.
  8. Not at all LSP related, but would love to see a large scale 1/16 Subaru rally car.
  9. I was debating between the USAS boxing and this one, but I love the simple scheme of the Otsu and all my other WNW kits will have complex camos.
  10. I plan on building Wingnut Wings Salmson 2-A2 kit as a Kawasaki Army Otsu-1 Reconnaissance Aircraft. This will be my first biplane and my first Wingnut Wings kit, so no promises it will be finished on time. Not looking forward to the rigging. :'3 Japan imported several dozen Salmson 2-A2s after WWI. A few years later Japan started producing their own Salmson 2-A2s, many by Kawasaki, and named them Army Otsu-1 Reconnaissance Aircraft. There is an excellent Otsu replica at the Kakamigahara Aerospace Science Museum. 11. Tamiya would make a killing if they made a 1/48 RF-4EJ or F-4EJ
  12. I have so many started kits... Some are ready for paint, some are in some stage of construction, some are on hold for various reasons, and some I just gave up on.
  13. Ooh, thank you. I never even considered looking at YT.
  14. That's good to hear. I always dread using enamels.
  15. Does anyone have any recommendations for references for UH/MH/SH-60s either in print or online? Looking for references with both cockpit and exterior shots.
  16. Amazing work! Following this thread woth interest for whenever I get around to building mine.
  17. Amazing work so far! I have one of these to build in the future, but all that scratch building is beyond my skill level so I'll mostly just build it OOB. Already have the instructions marked up in red and with reading your thread looks like I need to make some new red marks.
  18. Does anyone have any recommendations for a clear resin that doesn't yellow and could be used to encase an entire submarine model? There are so many products available on the market and not sure what the best one to use would be. Also, any recommendations on the process of doing so to prevent any bubbles from setting in the resin?
  19. Goregous work! I've always wanted to build some kind of dragon or kaiju kit like this, but feel like I could never do one justice with my lowly painting skills. I have a bunch of 3D printed anthro figures I need to get around to painting...
