  1. Happy Holidays Wojtek & crew! I hope 2012 brings much success for your new ventures!
  2. I wouldn't mind seeing it again, either!
  3. The pics look pretty good, but you owe it to yourself to check out Zactoman's missile sets!
  4. Actually Viper said the Mudhen had a wider nosewheel than the C, but that the two kits shared the same nosewheel.
  5. Would love it, but probably not the price if it came from Tamiya. Would probably end up being cheaper to get the excellent Airfix 1/24 kit. I agree with Mike: let Revell do the Mossie and Tamiya can give us the early Spits, P-51B...and a new Corsair series!
  6. Why not direct from the source? CMK e-shop.
  7. Can't find the thread either, but welcome to the forums!!
  8. Wow!! That has to be your most complicated, best work so far!!
  9. Not bad, although I have already bought - and read - both books. And let me say Ed Rasimus is one of the best you-are-there authors out there! When Thunder Rolled is a must read.
  10. I would get one, but I would rather see that F4u. I would like to see the F4u-5 and AU-1 first, then see them work their way backwards to the -1!
  11. Because of the review I picked up a couple of them at the last Squadron sale. They had the Vb for $30 each. The Vb/trop's were for more and since they are more inaccurate with the early canopy I passed on them. I did pull out a Hasegawa later canopy to see if it would work on the Hobbyboss kit. It will not without some work. Hobbyboss cut out the fuselage for their early canopy so some curved plastic fill-in work would be needed to sit the Hasegawa canopy on. So I will be building an early Vb - and seeing if the new-tool Revell Spit II wings will fit on the Hobbyboss fuselage!
  12. OK, maybe you are right. Looks like an early one anyway. I was just thinking that the last time I was there they had a platform set up so you could get good pics of the cockpit.
  13. Ummm...sorry I am so late to this party, I just noticed the thread! I was wondering, if you are going to use the 1/35th Lion Roar rockets anyway, why not use the entire Nebelwerfer kit? Lion Roar Nebelwerfer review. The tubes are in brass, they provide PE rails, all the little wiring bits and the tubes are even drilled for the fasteners for an extremely detailed build. All you would have to do is cut down the tubes and rails. It is a bit spendy, but it might be possible to get 12 rockets from it, or at least 6. Here is another review with some pics of a real Nebelwerfer that might be handy: PMMS review.
  14. Harold, do you remember which Skyhawk variant they have down at the Eugene museum?
  15. I just got an e-mail the other day from Volks USA saying my PE Int. sets, PE Ext set I, PE Ext set II, weighted tires, and turned gun barrel set have all shipped as of Wed, Dec. 14! So they are available, although they may be just covering pre-orders at the moment.
  16. Also need to verify those wheels weren't added by the museum during restoration for the lack of something more suitable?
  17. Hmmm..almost sounds like they found out someone else was working on one!
  18. Wow, Vaughn, that is really looking great! The careful attention during construction shows in how well the different parts come together.
  19. Really starting to come together, Christian!
  20. Ron?!? (Edit: you corrected before I even got my reply posted! ) I will check Armorama. The radios is what I was mainly looking for. It appears from photos to be well detailed on the exterior right out of the box! Thanks for the info!
  21. Glad to hear the kits are out, Glen! I did my part; I ordered one direct from PCM along witha Spit XIV. The reviews look pretty good, too. Do you know if anyone is working on a detail set?
  22. Wow, dutik, you need to get out of the modeling room more often!
  23. Couldn't find any English translation...any idea on how much this kit will run?
