  1. Me too...The Winkle build is a YEAR long!
  2. Hmm...clear coat looks like a good idea, but I'm not sure if Future would be the best choice?
  3. Beautiful! I love it! I don't think I've ever seen this color scheme on this variant of the Spitfire.
  4. Thanks everyone...just a minor update and to show that I'm still working on this build. While the fit is good, the precision is just lacking. Sink holes and major gaps keep me from painting..so I attempt to fix/scribe/re-rivet the model as best I can. It does look to build into a handsome representation of the Spitfire. But I'll be avoiding this Revell in the future. :-)
  5. Nice. You're a machine. Not sure how you progress so quickly given your personal obligations (that I've garnered on these forums)!
  6. Not gonna lie, the cockpit looks great, but the decals just don't do it justice.
  7. NICE! I think something's wrong with that Husky...one blue eye and one ???
  8. I suppose...and the eBay seller is even in Hawaii??!? Must be destiny...
  9. Look at them lovely wing roots...so nice and even. (I'm looking at craters/gaps on trailing edge of the wing roots on my Revell...)
  10. Thanks Max...I'm pretty sure this is beyond my experience/skill level, but I'm still considering it.....we'll see!
  11. I've read that thread and I know the color (I had the mix ready for another build) is wrong. But this is a quick build to try out a NMF finish without risking too much time and $'s.
  12. Incredible. I absolutely love the fact that you treat every little part as a modeling project (a trend I have noticed with all the great modelers on this site)!
  13. What a dilemma..while he's flown everything, it seems a bit odd to build an aircraft that's not of his country's origin and the only thing that peaks my interest would be the Vampire (after watching his documentary on Netflix). But I don't see a 1/32 offering of this aircraft. Any one know for sure?
  14. I love that Vallejo primer, but it sure mucks up my air brush. That's reeeeely shiny!
  15. Interior color coat with detailed painting....BTW, this is the 1/72 scale. My eyes are hurting a bit...
  16. Beautiful finish...I just ordered some of Tamiya's bendable tape as well -- had no idea they even existed! Thank you!
  17. Ha ha..Peter, you Jug/Mustangs was the impetus to use this little kit as practice!
  18. Interior primed with Black... And the markings I have chosen.
  19. Looks good! I think we'll need a good shot of primer to really appreciate the detail -- looking forward to it.
  20. Belts installed, main assembly mostly done! I can't wait to paint, but alas...working for a living gets in the way! (I had to shave a part of the cockpit assembly to close the fuselage -- which was odd because when I dry fitted the components, I thought I had a lot of wiggle room.)
