  1. Meant to ask - what is your weathering technique being used here? Are you over-spraying panel lines with smoke to shade them? Thanks!
  2. Continues to look great - all that red really makes it pop to the eye!
  3. wow - what a great price - German WW2 is not so much my cup of tea unfortunately - now if they would do some allied aircraft... Nothing against the Tamiya Mustang - its brilliant - but can ya imagine a under $30 accurate well done but basic RoG kit of the P-51?
  4. I fail to understand why those who do not give a crap about this subject continue to pop into this thread to try to stir up argument? If you wish to build your B-17 model to match photos of a modern warbird reconstruction that is totally your choice - why is it a problem that others seek to build to how it really was during war time?
  5. Looks great! I am not too much into German WW2 stuff but that is an impressive build of a unusual aircraft - kudos!
  6. Used the QB seats in my build but I did modify the rails so that they fit better. No idea if the angle is right or wrong but the QB seats are really nicely cast and detailed (plus they have molded on belt detail which I prefer vs. photoetched)
  7. looking great - glad the decal worked out!
  8. Fantastic - really fine build - dont see too many of those built up! How did you achieve the chipping affect? Looks very realistic....
  9. Probably not likely to purchase this one but always great to see a new model company start doing 1/32 scale. Personally I would like to have seen them do a Horton 229 if they wanted to do an exotic WW2 German type but who knows what the future will bring.
  10. wow - that is looking impressive - even with the break you are moving right along on this monster!
  11. Wow $15 for the Revell is a fantastic price - hard to beat that - good luck with the research and build(s)!
  12. Paul that is looking fantastic! - Really inspirational to get me back on my build (sorta tied up on the decals for it still....)
  13. cool - i was wondering about that and how one would do a two seater Baz. I know there are decals out there for it in 1/32....
  14. sorry to sidetrack, but since we are talking 1/32 F-15I, can the old Revell F-15E also be used to build the I version? Or too many changes/updates required? Thx!
  15. Looking fantastic there - cant wait to see the CAG markings on it!
  16. looks extremely cool - I gotta get me one of those Academy F-16s some day....
  17. Im not typically into trainers but that is a good looking little jet
  18. I am wondering, if you already have the kit and you are set on modifing to an earlier version, you may still want to wait till HK releases the early G or F then maybe you might be able to buy just the different sprues from them to make the mods you need? I dont know what their policy is about buying extra sprues but it might be a good approach if they allow that (and you can wait for the kits to be released)
  19. TimC - leaving would be a loss to those on the forum that are interested in discussion about new kits like the B-17 and where it may be accurate and where it may not be so much. I recently said in another similar discussion that I for one find these very interesting and I would much rather know and learn about this aircraft - does it mean I will always make the corrections or modifications on a kit? No - but I would much rather be the one to make that decision. So please do not go; I do not know why these discussions upset some folks so much - I get it when people trash kits without having anything to back it up, but most everything I have seen here has not what I would call "trashing" by any means....
  20. I would definitely do the nose art since she got u the kit and asked to have the art on there. Maybe try to find one of the old Cutting Edge Pyn-Up nose art sets they did for their 1/48 scale PB4Y-2
  21. Holy cow - those do look like fantastic etched sets but wow yeah i think the cowl flap parts might one over the edge....
  22. Those look fantastic - really great job!
  23. this is great info and thanks for the pics of the seat!
  24. Ah - cool - glad to see another build of this kit!
