Okay. Maybe Tail-Dragon has a photo? I haven't seen the decals from Southern Sky Models. What's the other decal set?

Air Ministry Form 78 (aircraft movement card) or Air Ministry Form 1180 (accident card) would probably tell you of the fate/disposition of RM862, which subsequently led to MV256 becoming aircraft K.

AE-K RM862 from 2nd Tactical Air Force Vol 3. It's a pretty grainy picture to begin with. Nothing on MV256.
 

 
 

Of course! Had to know that the initial release of 40 sets would disappear in a flash. More of them to come, and other conversions as well.

I managed to get 2, which is a group order. It's rather fortuitous that I will be overseas in a few days on vacation, so I was able to ship to a U.K. address for considerably less postage than overseas, otherwise I simply wouldn't have ordered at all. I will, of course, still have to deal with customs and duty upon my return, unless the agents are feeling rather generous!

I just hope mine arrive in the U.K. while I'm there (they should, from Belgium), otherwise it will end up costing me more!

I'm pretty sure this is the same Ursus Americanus that was waiting for me while mountain biking last week-standing, not sitting, though!

As the low back conversion hasn't been released yet and work is clearly progressing nicely on the high back, I am beginning to wonder if these sets will be released concurrently. Quite frankly, I think it would make complete sense to do just that.

      The detailed drawings Kagemusha mentions in the Aviaeology sheets are in 1/24 scale. There is also a small inset in 1/12 showing the mounting hardware and also a 1/48 profile which shows the relationship between the rocket rails, RP's, drop tank, and engine nacelle. If you would like them just PM me and they are yours.

Nice, Kev. Looking forward to a detailed review. Hopefully you'll have the time to give us some nice close-up shots of all the individual components.
