  7. For those with Facebook more pics of the Lanc https://www.facebook.com/groups/LancAssemblyLine/permalink/4331732310269028/
  8. New photos up on Fbook and it looks outstanding, still struggling with myself wether to buy it or not.
  9. The latest pics that Border have put up on Facebook looks like the forward section has the same split as the HK kit so a separate nose is possible.
  10. I'm sure WNW's release did not have a full interior it was only the front and the rear door area and you were getting one each of the engines hence its projected lower price. Nice to see a more common bomb load with the cookie and SBC's, the kit looks fantastic though.
  11. Just got this from my local hobby shop Wonderland Models here in Edinburgh. If this is right I sadly won't be buying one. I have just had word from the supplier for Border Models in the UK about the 1/32 Lancaster. The UK RRP has not been confirmed just yet, but they are expecting it to be £699.99. Graham
  12. The guy seems to be based in Taiwan and when you read the comments he says rather than him being happy the factory is happy? If you can see the pics the first one is a belter, the guy is handling it while puffing on a fag.
  13. This just popped up on Facebook. It looks like the WNW Dambuster https://www.facebook.com/groups/1650968768505352/permalink/2953149961620553/ Graham
  14. Just had an email from Hannants that my F is on its way, so it's eventually landed in the UK
  15. Here's what you can do with the ID vac kit from around 2008 and I'm sure Larry reckoned the Combat vac was them same kit. I for some reason have not kept any photos past all the main parts fitted together but it gives you an idea what can be done but she was finished. Graham
  16. Larry was a great bloke and had an endless spares box that had anything you needed, a great help when I was building vacs. One of the originals and I can't believe it 10 years.
  17. ID did a vacuform kit of it I built it in 2008 ish I'll see if I can find a pic of it but i don't know if its still on tiggers list.
  18. Great pair of big fins but where's all the glue thumb prints on your son's as that's what mine were like back then He's definitely got your talent.
  19. Here's the zoom decals and sad to say not a drop fit especially around the throttle box, I'll take better pics when complete and in daylight. Graham
  20. Thanks Colin I found this while searching the rear cockpit and the TARDIS panel is in the kit part 59 alongside the old panel part 56.
  21. Never looked at the painting guide before and there's a big mistake in it, it has all 3 Tornado's painted in the same colour flat light grey FS 36495. First one is Danger Mouse she should be painted Camouflage Grey BS 381C 626 and it was Alkaline Removable Temporary Finish, the others should be satin medium sea grey B.S. 381C.
  22. Hi Maru, I've done the tanks, boz pods and a few sub assy's. I was going to add some paint but then found to my dismay someone has got rid of all my paints, as I've said I've not done any modelling for sometime and the boxes my paints were in have gone! So fair to say no-one has admitted to this heinous crime and to add salt into the wounds my local hobby shop has stopped selling Xtracolor which was my preferred paint. So all I have is a can of Mr Surfarcer, but I've decided to go for MRP paints which I'm trying to purchase at the moment and some should arrive next week.
  23. It's been a good few years since I have worked/completed a model or even done a work in progress here on LSP. So I am going/hoping to complete this one, it's the new Tonka kit from Italeri with a few added bits n bobs. My connection with the Tornado is from my job, I work for what used to be Ferranti a defence company here in Edinburgh but now is Leonardo. My last posting as an apprentice was to the Electro Optics Group which at the time back in 1983 was delivering LRMTS's for the Jag/Harrier, when I started in my last 6 months as an apprentice we were starting work on the Mk3 LRMTS for the Tornado and since then there's been TIALD and the laser for the Litening pod. We are now the main contractor for supplying lasers for Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman as ours are the world's best and very reliable. Back to the Tonka my first seat in the GR1 was in 1986 after 27 Sqd won the bombing competition at the red flag exercise using the newer version of the LRMTS they brought 2 Tornado's to RAF Turnhouse. Roll on to 2019 and my last seat in the office was at RAF Marham in a 9 Sqd jet, there's 36 years between the photos and I'm sad to see the mighty Fin go ( and the hair ) but at work the LRMTS is still on the go with the Saudi air force. So the pics also show seats from Mastercasters which Jay sent to me (with and without straps) and a wheel set ( cheers mate ), Quickboost seats which were lying around. Spare parts from the Revell Gr1 kit ( small tanks and boz pod as she carried 2 ) plus decals as the camo bird has high vis markings as most on the Italeri sheet can't be used and Master probes. Sorry for the long intro but I thought I'd give some background to this build. Graham
  24. Here's the correct space decals this time.
