  1. Hmm.... 5 cylinder (spinner mounted) radial with a 6 cylinder exhaust system. I'm not sure this machine existed. Ryan
  2. Me too, would love to see your touch on these! Ryan
  3. Hey Karim, No wood grain on the outside of mine, will be doing the all red version. I agree I may need to move into decaling grain eventually. Ryan
  4. Eeesh, ok. Interesting problem then, forces the modeler to let it go or try and putty and sand right next to a presumably finished pit. Or i guess you could template and fit a thin piece of card to cover. Not nice.
  5. Is there any sidewall detail to the cockpit to cover that seam? Ryan
  6. Translated says "I'm a 30 year old kit".
  7. I'm not convinced its a turd yet, please continue Mark. Ryan
  8. Professor Karim, Thank you for your clear explanation, I understand now. I must say the knot less decal was the way to go, it looks perfect and will even better once the weathering is complete. Sorry to hear about the flywheel rigging, I am dreading this too on my build and am not sure its worth the misery. Did you glue the rigging to the part? Ryan
  9. There are worse things to spend our money on Guy!
  10. Damn Guy, just fabulous, you are the master. Makes me want one! Ryan
  11. Good, lets see how many of these you can sell. Ryan
  12. I haven't devoted much time to it yet, just skimming over posts.
  13. Where's my barf bag, is that the 1917 Fokker Carp?
  14. With the 35th scale tractor available, this could be a nice long diorama. Ryan
  15. Do you mean a heavy wash Karim? How thin is the glaze, do you see brush strokes? Sorry I can PM these questions as not to foul your post. Ryan PS the base coat is Tamiya!
  16. This is your thread but since you asked. I used Vajello for the grain, honestly not the best of work..luckily only the good parts will be seen! The blending is a bit off too...but it looked better before I gloss coated it. Here is a shot before gloss and the brush I used. Perhaps flat coating it again will lighten it up? 17. Yes your right, been working on a DH9, stuck in wood grain land. DH9 by The 3rd Placer, on Flickr Will get back to the Albatros soon. Ryan
  18. Pre-order button finger stands ready. Ryan
  19. Just bought a set of these stencils Radu and can't wait to use them, oils are a pain. Ryan
  20. Torn weather to sell my Trumpeter one with aftermarket to go with this one OOB. Hmmmmm.
  21. I would bet they are wanting you to mix them and spray in one shot. If you are graining with oils I would shoot a dark sand and then apply oils...if not dark enough then tint with clear paints. Making plastic look like wood is a real experimental process. Ryan
