  1. Outstanding build and finish! Wicked cool markings.
  2. Great progress, Alex. I think you should try the Silhouette, nothing to lose but a little time and masking material!
  3. With all the new references, I keep finding inaccuracies with the kit and my earlier work. For example you will see above that I added four frames to the cockpit ahead of the rear bulkhead. There should be five: the double frame at the aft end of the consoles should be farther forward, and an additional double frame added immediately forward of the opening for the external canopy jettison. But if I move the frame to where it should be, I would need to shorten the consoles as well and lose the existing detail. I'm just going to let it go for this build and worry about it when I get on to my next Hunter...
  4. Thanks Kev! Thanks Alain, I'm having fun with it, but hoping I don't get too bogged down with details that won't be seen. I have so much more reference material now than I did when I first started this project, maybe too much!
  5. That would be soo cool in 1/32! Please, please, please!
  6. The cockpit as of now... Much more to go here... Snap fit... Other side, lots to do... IP has nice detail, but I'm thinking of drilling out the instruments and using Aircale decals... Cheers, Rockie
  7. Ailerons cut away and leading edge tapered. Still a lot of work, reshaping the tips, etc...
  8. My kit is from the first release, and has incorrectly depicted the ailerons as tapered rather than constant chord. Some pics of my feeble attempt to correct the ailerons... Original aileron leading edge filled with black CA glue, and new LE scribed.
  9. Thanks for the encouragement Maru! Still a long way to go on the seat, but here is a pic. I've done some more work on the head box since this photo, trying to get the basic contours right. Cheers, Rockie
  10. Easy peasy... go to your Flickr page and click on the photo. In the lower right of the new window you will see four icons. Click on the arrow that points to the right, and copy the link that you see in the dialog box that pops up. Go to your new post window in LHS, click in the window like you would to enter text, paste the link, hit enter and your picture should show up... You don't need to use the "Insert image from URL" button at all.
  11. Oh that is cool. Wonder if it made it into service without a repaint...
  12. Cool project Rhodie, I look forward to following along. I concur with Chrish and Dave about the gear - and the Aerocraft brass gear is pretty reasonably priced too. Cheers, Rockie
  13. Nice job Rhodie, thanks for the inspiration! I'm having a bit of a struggle with mine right now, making a ham-fisted attempt at correcting the ailerons (to quote Bob Seger - "wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then"... Cheers, Rockie
