Thank you Gaz! The build ended on a bit of a whimper instead of a bang but I was just trying to get past the finish line so I could move on to other projects. On 11/24/2023 at 12:56 AM, Jaro said: Congratulations, an outstanding result! I love the paint job! Looking at the final outcome - the model itself seems to be a really good one. Waiting for the next airframe to land on your desk! Thank you so much! And yes, it on to the next airframe, which is the Spitfire XIVe that I'll be jumping back onto shortly! You certainly did justice to the Border model. 1/32 or 1/35, who cares when the result is that astonishing? Thank you Quang! The Border kit is surprisingly good and I really enjoyed working on it as the fit on almost all of the parts was excellent. Typically, I would have glued the gun/engine panels into place but Border's engineering allowed me to keep them removable. On 11/24/2023 at 2:05 AM, zaxos345 said: Amazing build John!!!! John Thanks John! On 11/24/2023 at 8:06 AM, Troy Molitor said: Spectacular build John. We are blessed for you sharing your builds with us here on LSP. What after the late Mk Spit? Can you give us an insight? Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving. Troy. Not sure what is after the XIVe but there might be something quite different on the horizon for me. It flies but it is not a plane! More on that later... On 11/24/2023 at 1:12 PM, Out2gtcha said: Amazing looking John! Up to your usual high standards of assembly and paint. Thank you! A good kit makes things easy and Border definitely produced a good one. On 11/24/2023 at 4:18 PM, Cycling Guy said: Excellent work. I learned a thing or two from watching this. JayW
A wonderful "butcher bird". I was amazed that a relatively unknown company could produce such an outstanding model. But like always, the builder is such an important element, and you sir are a master builder. Congratulations. Thunnus
19squadron
That looks good! Only kits I have from Border are Armour, and they are nice but not as good as Miniart for T54/55, This bird however looks really good, a very nice model! Thunnus
Greif8
Top shelf work as always John! Your detailing and painting are very eyecatching. Ernest Thunnus

Thank you Jay! I was very surprised at the quality of the kit, especially the fit... very Tamiya-like, dare I say. On 1/16/2024 at 6:09 AM, 19squadron said: That looks good!
