Fantastic NMF John! And all round a really nice finish.

Please can I ask which pastel wash you used and how you applied it?

I used those pastels...

And especially the first 2 on top...from the grey tones!!

50-50 black and dark grey, to tell you the truth i dont really like the rwa amber!!!

I took some powder...1to 2 drops of water and a drop of dish cleaner to break the surface tention. You dont want the mix to be thin but not muddy also (it is a trial and error), something in between...you let it fully dry and you wipe it with a paper towel or a cotton pub!!! It seems a bit messy but it is not!!! And it is fully safe!!!!

John

P.S. Kudos to John a.k.a. Thunnus for the trick!!!

Honestly, I hadn't checked in on this build in quite a while.  After seeing your "RFI" post, I had to come back and read through your entire thread.  Love the work on this one, from the extra work done to fix some issues to the final finish - a stunning build all around.
