Confusionreigns178 Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Now, that is one excellent-looking figure! Full-of-character and in a great pose. Will you be producing more Vietnam helo crew-members? "He loves the smell of napalm in the morning!" Chris. Bill Cross 1
Bill Cross Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 I bought this. Do I need to soak him in bleach like with other resin figures to remove the mold release?
Rob Owens Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Beg pardon, but it’s not an “Aircav hat.” It’s a Cavalry Stetson which must be EARNED via a Spur Ride. Uncarina 1

Is he resin, or 3-D printed? It's getting more difficult to tell, these days. Have you looked on the Reedoak 'site? Chris.

Have you looked on the Reedoak 'site? IDK. I didn't find anything on their website, but few resin vendors tell you about mold release or how to remedy it.
norbert Posted May 11, 2023 Author Posted May 11, 2023 It's 3D printed resin, cleaned in 4 bath of isopropyl alcohol, so ready for primer after removing the sprues (that we call supports in the 3D world) Bill Cross, Pete Fleischmann and gatorbait51 2 1
Confusionreigns178 Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 I should probably point out here.... I was asking if it's the traditional "poured into a rubber mold and left to set" type of resin of the olden days, or the much-more-modern 3D- printed type. When I wrote it, I hadn't considered that both types of production are generally referred to as using "resin". Sorry for the confusion. Chris. gatorbait51 and norbert 2
