Hello

Here's my A6M5 fromTamiya.
I built the A6M2 some years ago so no surprises. This is a great kit.
Humbrol paint, handbrushed as usual. Paint stripping is done with aluminum paint and a sponge.

Aotake from AK interactive 3rd gen. Great paint.
Only few addons: Berna decals and guns from Master.

As I get back into the hobby, I'm currently working on a 1/48 A6M5.  I'm eyeballing the Tamiya 1/32 version.  Besides the add-ons you mentioned, is this OOB?  Spectacular work!

Don't eyeball the Tamiya 1/32 Zeros--buy them and build them!

Some of the most astonishing kits I've come across.  I did the A6m2, not the 5, but they are very similar.

If you are a big Zero fan I can't imagine you would regret the experience.

They are available for pretty good prices on Ebay if you go for Japanese sellers.

Now, back to the model build!  This is gorgeous!  I like the scale of the paint chipping on the engine cowl and the idea of hand painting the plane seems to work really well with an A6M.

Overall, lovely aircraft!

Yep, fully OOB. With these Tamyia kits, you don't need to add tons of stuff, there are already well detailed. Actually I could have even spared the Master guns because my box was some sort of special edition with the metallic wing guns included (was not aware until I opened it).

Don't hesitate, go get one (or more :D)

Here are some pics of the 2b I built some years ago (It's the same kit you can display wing extended/folded, gear extended/retracted.
