Fanes
Fantastic work Vince! One minor thing: Are you sure about the silver prop hub and cuffs? I thought they were painted in white on the ASW Wildcats (at least on the F4F-4s). Cheers Joachim Vince Blackburn

Vince Blackburn
A very interesting point was raised by Joachim and after some digging about on the internet I found this Aircraft no 8 most definitely has a white painted hub and cuffs Aircraft no 5 is natural metal hub. if I can find a spare prop the spare can be painted with white hub cuff and then I can have fun at model shows swapping them every now and then. I used the pictures in the fundekals F4F manual as a reference: https://fundekals.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/FD32012_FD48034_Inst.pdf Scroll down to p.23 - there are some really good photos of VC-13 ASW Wildcats and it looks like there is (white?) paint sprayed on the cuff - especially regarding the overspray on the rear (on p.27). Let me know if you are in need of a trumpeter wildcat prop... I have a couple kits - but I'm using a hamilton standard hub and blades on mine so you're welcome to the kit props if you need them... Have a great day, Mike Vince Blackburn
Warbird Kid
Excellent job on the FM-2! As an addition (and hopefully these will help), I have these images scanned from the album of one Erwin Mott Jr. from Bridgeport, CT. We have a display with some of his flight suits from his long career spanning WWII (when he was flying these Wildcats in the Mid-Atlantic) into post war Naval Air Reserve. Enjoy. Thunnus
Looking great so far! I really empathize with your mask struggles as I've also had issues with the model surface curvature distorting the mask and paint pulling up as well.
