(My old car) I’ve chopped 4 kits up so far for the parts to do it...Automotive mechanics should never build model car kits! I couldn't have said that better myself. lololol LSP_K2 1
Greg W Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Following! This kit does look good and you are doing a fantastic job with it. Are you planning on painting it panzer grey or dark yellow? Greg mustang1989 1

mustang1989 Posted September 17, 2020 Author Posted September 17, 2020 This doesn't look like it but there's been a ton of work done to this thing since the last update. Shift, throttle/clutch/ brake and actuating levers installed , seats painted and installed (obviously) and a newspaper that I got from Fields of Glory. Mild weathering adorns the entire floor and rear shelf area as well. The seats took two tries as I wasn't happy with the look of the seats when initially painted. Greg W Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 When I was looking at reference for my own Kafer project, I found a great little book. A concise history, packed with photographs and nicely bound (hardcover). Thought I'd mention it in case you were interested. LSP_K2 and mustang1989 2
Gazzas Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 That interior is beautiful, Joe. mustang1989 1
mustang1989 Posted September 25, 2020 Author Posted September 25, 2020 Thank you for the reference GDW and the comments from both of you guys!
mustang1989 Posted September 25, 2020 Author Posted September 25, 2020 (edited) Added a few more details this morning. Eyeglasses on the newspaper up front (to include lenses inside the frames), helmet and folded map on the rear package tray. I've also got a leather map case that I'll be painting up and putting in the back. I'm still debating on whether or not to throw an MP40 back there too but wondering just how realistic that'll be. Not many soldiers just leave their weapons laying around you know. Edited September 25, 2020 by mustang1989 LSP_Kevin, Gazzas, Uncarina and 4 others 7
mustang1989 Posted October 10, 2020 Author Posted October 10, 2020 Thanks Gaz!! Sorry for being out again guys. Work.....FFA.....Football......anything else????!!!! Ok folks. Here's the completed chassis and interior. I don't have the wheels and tires on just yet because I like to do that in one of the last phases of auto builds. Just making sure that I have a good stance and no "three wheeler" look. The only thing I don't have pictured with the interior is the first aid kit. That will be fastened to the L/H rear side wall of the interior next to the rear seat. chrish, thierry laurent, Greg W and 2 others 5
mustang1989 Posted October 12, 2020 Author Posted October 12, 2020 Getting close now. Really can't see the weathering in this pic but its there. Maybe it'll all show up in the glamour shots when I get to the end of the build. chrish, Greg W and Jeff T 3
Greg W Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Very nice Joe, really. This kit looks much better than the CMK version I have. Looking forward to more updates. mustang1989 1
