Erwin
Hi all, This is the sequel to the "Me 117 Adler prototype" from the group build. The big change from the prototype is the new tail.I shall also add guns, drop tanks, etc.Just to make it look operational. Next is to find a suitable camouflage (without the big swastika's). I could make this Battle of Britain (dark green/black green) or Afrikakorps (sand/brown) splinter scheme. Erwin
Finding the torpedo's from the Revell He 111 H6 might be hard to do. Instead I changed the missiles from the F-117 kit a bit to make them look like torpedo's. It doesn't have to be perfect.Just enough to assume the Adler has them. Erwin
I dry fitted all the underside extra's. 20 mm guns (Me 109) Drop tanks or extra bombs (Me 262) Antenna (Me 262) Torpedo's (type might change later) The same antenna goes on top behind the canopy. A high tech feature on the Adler are the pannels.Held in place by electro magnets instead of screws. Erwin
I shall try to scratch-build two torpedo's. LSP-Ron provided me with the dimensions from the ones in the Revell Heinkel 111 H6 kit. I didn't know those are 15,5 cm in 32 nd scale.Much longer than I thought. It might not be fully correct. But it will look better than my converted missiles. Fingers crossed ! Edited March 16, 2019 by Erwin

Erwin
I'm going with a three-tone upper splinter camouflage. I'm just in dought to paint the brown splinter first and then the dark green or visa versa ? I wonder if it makes any differance ?
