pennausamike
Well, OBVIOUSLY LOU IV was blue..... The eyewitness accounts in combination with the photos are why I accept that LOU IV was over painted in a dark blue. This is the old Revell P-51 with the fin fillet cut off and filled. Guest Smitty44
T It looks like these photos also prove that all ground vegitation is blue also. ;-) Looking at it makes WWI lozenge make sense
Guest Smitty44
SO many have said why would they paint it blue, and I look at the pic and say why the heck would they not? MikeMaben
John1
The forum is hosted by a new owner, Tapatalk, who are, according to Brett, migrating to a new platform. We'll see. From posts on HS, looks like they are getting pretty close to the new format. Hooray, HS is about to finally become a useful modeling forum. On a semi-related note - Dana's article was titled "Show and Tell #7". If found a couple of earlier "Show and Tells" by Dana but not all of them. They were all pretty interesting. Anyone know where the remainder can be found? HS Reference Section has some really good stuff, especially on Late War Luftwaffe camo schemes. Sad that so many articles are just dead links, missing pictures, etc, etc. Edited February 23, 2018 by John Irwin MikeMaben
thierry laurent
Personally, I am not arguing about the difference in color between the planes on the picture but I think Ray probably hit the nail. It is not the first time I saw some OD color with a blueish hue. Planes were possibly not painted at the same time with the same batch of color. I don't think we need anything else to explain the difference (KISS principle!). if you want to be sure: mix dark blue with OD and the problem will be solved! Dana Bell
Hi Chris, We'll have the room for about an hour. I figure on pulling together a talk of about 35 minutes, then using the rest of the time for a very general Q&A - very informal stuff, just for fun. Cheers, Dana

Dana Bell
Hi John, Not quite - if you take the leg off either side of that "M" you're left with VA - then you found us. At the risk of further hijacking this thread, here are the details, halfway down the page: https://www.novaipms.org/ Cheers, Dana
