Pfalz D.XII - WNW 1:32 scale

Hi all,

Here's my Pfalz D.XII, Serial No.2454 'KI' of Jasta 32b during 1918.  Pilot unknown.

 

·         Manufacturer:  Wingnut Wings.

·         Scale: 1/32

·         Type: Pfalz D.XII

·         Paints/Weathering:  Tamiya (by brush and Airbrushed),

·         Aftermarket: HGW seat belts, Master guns, figures from Kellerkind, propeller (hand made by Doug Craner) and ground cover hand made.

·         Rigging:  Turnbuckles hand made from micro nickel/silver tube and fine copper wire, with monofilament for the wires.

·         Display case and plaque made by on-line specialists.

Hi all,

Thanks for your comments - I try but there's always room for improvement. This was my first build since 1973 so a steep learning curve was called for. Figure painting at 1:32 scale is something I find probably more difficult than the aircraft itself. I've taken your comments on-board.

It's a terrific build, no doubt. Do you have any versions of the photos without the funky edges? I'd love to publish them on the website.

I'll take fresh shots and replace those in the post and you can grab them from there - is that OK with you?

 

I'll leave it to your discretion, Mike. I don't want to cause you any extra work. I was hoping you'd have the unaltered originals you could send me, as I don't think there's anything wrong with having the stylised ones in the forum; they're just not suitable for the website. If you decide to re-shoot them, I'm happy to receive them via email or grab them from here.
