HI Steve, almost all of the parts that I have made so far is available now except for the gun pod. The parts for the Hunter, Hawk and Mirage are available through PM.

Anyway, here is the gun pod master finished. For those interested I will be sending this to the resin shop hopefully tomorrow. the master looks a bit patchy due to being made of a few different materials.

Thanks for that Eric but, and please excuse my ignorance, but who or what is PM?

It's an abbreviation for Personal Message, which you can send and receive from other members using the forum software's built-in Personal Messenger system. Look for the little icon that looks like an opened envelope, top right of screen, near where your name is.

I sent the gun pod off to the casters today and it came back beautifully. I love how stuff looks when it is fresh from the mould, especially when it was created with my own hand.

I removed the small casting block, and then hollowed out the main body to save on weight:

I then drilled a couple of small holes and inserted some plastic rod

And here it is, the collection of stuff now in resin that I have been working on over the last couple of weeks, and all of it is for sale in whatever combo you want! PM me for details please.

Now that I have finished scratchbuilding all of the stuff (or have I?) for this build, I was able to start playing around with the loadout a bit, in between casting my arse off the whole day filling the demand that has resulted from releasing the parts onto the market. Originally I planned on having 4xCBLS, 1x gun pod and 2x sidewinders, which is a `show' loadout. I have been informed that it has flown in that configuration but it is not an operational loadout. I still may do it like that but I am looking for pics of the RAAF aircraft with something different on the outers.

Anyway, I painted the gun pod and was most pleased with how it came out. Still got to do a bit of weathering and apply a wash.

I reckon this side view looks tough with the gun pod installed.

I finished painting 2 of the CBLS pods white, and primed the BDU-33's ready for the blue paint. A test fit shows that the model is starting to come together.

A couple of my mates have recently brought up the issue of having to mask the insides of intakes to paint them. I had a think about an easy way to do it and here is my really simple solution.... dunno what all the fuss is about!

The inside of the intake has been painted white already:

Take some Tamiya tape and make a small roll as below. It is important to leave a little `tag'

Feed it into the intake with some tweezers (sorry about the fuzzy pic):

unroll the tape inside the intake once you stick the tag where it is needed.

Burnish it into the intake with a cotton bud:

And here is the result:

Man, you make that look so easy Eric! A ham-fisted kit-wrecker like me would never pull something like that off. After two hours my fingers would be covered in mashed bits of tape and I'd still be no closer to having the mask in place.

Great work!
