geedubelyer Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Hi everyone. I thought I had seen someone post some airfield accessories like wheel chocks etc. Did I dream it? I'm looking for a set of 1/24th scale contemporary RAF wheel chocks. Does anyone know of any? Thanks. Guy BiggTim 1
thierry laurent Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Hello, Flightpath had some but the company closed its doors. AIMS just released FAA ones (available from Hannants). And finally Jet Passion scale models has some RAF cold war ones (look on ebay). Hth Thierry mozart, BiggTim and geedubelyer 2 1
geedubelyer Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 (edited) It took a while but I spotted some Jet Passion chocks on eBay that look perfect but they are an Australian seller and I'm in the UK. Also, just to cloud the issue further Jet Passion only appear to have a Facebook page but I don't do FB. Does anyone have a suggestion for a UK based stockist with a website that I can order off please? Many thanks. Edit* I've just found a link online that suggests Jet Passion are a member here on LSP so I have sent a PM. Hopefully they see it and I can begin a dialogue. Edited April 15 by geedubelyer
Shoggz Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I bought these to go with my 1:24th Spit Guy. Aims Diorama accessories - AIMS24P003 | Hannants geedubelyer, coogrfan and Martinnfb 2 1
geedubelyer Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 Thanks Richard. I saw those but they look more like wartime chocks rather than the modern ones I need for MK356? The version that the BBMF use appear to be rubber with longitudinal grooves in them and a rope inside a metal tube enclosed in the rubber. I sent Ed of Jet Passion a message and he's kindly agreed to send a price list over.
Shoggz Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Guy, yeah, looking back, the clue was in the word 'contemporary' wasn't it! :Note to self - read things properly before jumping in... Stevepd and geedubelyer 2

But if you want dimensions and photos.......... geedubelyer 1
geedubelyer Posted April 16 Author Posted April 16 Thanks Steve. If you don't mind taking a couple of pics with measurements that would be useful. I ordered a set from Ed at Jet Passion scale models that Thierry suggested above so it will be good to confirm dimensions. Much appreciated.
Stevepd Posted April 16 Posted April 16 As requested Anything else just ask. geedubelyer and BiggTim 1 1
geedubelyer Posted April 16 Author Posted April 16 Brilliant. Thanks Steve. Do you have a particularly steep drive btw? 🤔 Stevepd 1
Stevepd Posted April 17 Posted April 17 (edited) Nope flat and going to get Jet washed any day now. Perfect for when doing servicing on the car and I've got one corner jacked up. I did get a roll of the eyes from my wife when she asked why I was measuring the chock! Edited April 17 by Stevepd MikeC, thierry laurent and Shoggz 3
