  1. Waiting with extreme anticipation Ali. As far as I'm concerned please proceed ! My Revell Beau is waiting for it's new engines, nacelles and glazing.
  2. Received my C2 set today after 16 days at the Langley HWDC (customs) They're obviously getting more efficient there now ! After opening the package I was quite deflated and disappointed at the quality of the printing and the damage to parts. Most of the parts have numerous pronounced ridges. So a lot of finessing, fiddling and sanding for such a high price. Then there's the base kit to tackle too..........
  3. I was thinking that maybe a D/F loop with plexiglass cover and also a Strike camera would be worthy additions to the set as many Beau's carried them just behind the main canopy.
  4. Thank you Ali for the two Echelon canopy sets. They are just simply wonderful ! I can get on and complete my F2a and F6 now. I had recently made a milliput plunge mold and now don't have to suffer the frustration and disappointment of that process. Looking forward to the Beaufighter sets with great anticipation. Thank you again Stuart
  5. Can't wait for these and the canopies. Long overdue for the venerable Beau. Well done Ali !
  6. Simple, lighthearted and accurate observation on the new Revell Hurri not a criticism.
  7. Built the Fly I, IIB and IIC didn't require clamps or milliput at all thank you. Building the Revell kit now and it's just as good.
  8. Lovely, a smoth wing Hurricane. Those erks certainly must have gained a few knots for the old warrior shaving those mushrooms with their metal files.
  9. Hi Dave, You probably haven't got this far but a good alternative to the F11-F's spoked main wheels are CMK'S 1/48 A26 invader LATE wheel set and maybe the 1/32 F4 Phantom nosewheels might suffice.
  10. If it's a way in for further Fisher kits I'd be good for an RB-51. I was about to pull the trigger on the Cutlass and the Skyray when disaster struck. I hope Paul is recovering the best he can and benefits from this venture in a major way.
  11. Yes, thank you for going to the trouble of organising this. Please let me know your paypal details.
  12. Just let me know how much, when and where !
  13. There seems to be an increasing number of vendors/ suppliers who are refusing to ship to the UK. Seems to be a HMRC VAT procedure which puts the onus on the supplier to do HMRC's calculations/payments. Hopefully, in time, this will be resolved !
  14. I would certainly like one set too please !
  15. MDC produce early and late bomb racks for their Typhoon which might suffice ?
  16. Just get the basics right....keep it simple.... we`ll do the rest....then they would sell a whole lot more !
  17. 81 Squadron had extended tips fitted when they arrived in Burma from Italy. They were very soon replaced due to the tips causing rippling of the fuselage skin behind the cockpits whilst dogfighting with Ki43`s . The desert camouflage was also repainted to dark earth/ dark green. Strangely there are no decal sheets depicting 81 Squadrons markings, as far as I know in 1/32. Hope this helps. Stuey
  18. I have built two of Jerry`s B`s a while back and if you really `enjoy` this hobby, by that I mean, if you really love creating an accurate facsimile, then this is the only option. It`s all about modelling, not assembling, because it appears to be the EASY option. For the record, Jerry`s B model Stangs were NOT expensive and WERE relatively easy to build, if one used BASIC modelling skills. Compared to some of the dire conconctions from China which cost a lot more AND double that for AM corrections then they were definitey a bargain. If Jerry intends to have Grey Matter Figures produce his B then I will purchase a couple more, and I sincerely hope he does. One can still have `FUN` building something accurate you know. Stuey
  19. Hi Guys, Can anyone confirm what type of seat was fitted to the -5N Corsair ? I read somewhere that it was a bucket type with foldable arm rests but cannot find any illustrations as yet. I do know that that AU-1 had an armoured seat with arm rests but was it the same as the -5 ? Kind regards Stuey57
