  1. I really should dig this out! Last work I did was cut the rear down to fit a bubble canopy, I now have some wonderful parts from buchon that I can include.. now with the IX released perhaps I can mangle that as well. The wing folds are what trouble me the most, anyone keen to design and 3d print?
  2. Hey Pete, wonderul work, Thankyou for letting us ilall in to see your work, I can’t wait to see a kit designed 50 years ago will respond to your skill and model monkeys art! Andy
  3. Hey Anthony, as I have mentioned to you in emails, this is magnificent work and a true template for people to follow. It has pointed out a number of flaws in my conversion I did a number of years ago, which I will revisit based on your work! Can I ask, with the nose modification you’ve made, (noting I can now ‘not see it’ on any of my phantom future builds) what size was the initial drop prior to fitment of the 1.5mm ring(which lengthens the fuselage to correct length). Then what size did you widen the 3 cuts in the nose cone post sanding off the 3mm? I have leant a lot from you and Chuck540z3 that it has inspired me to get back to the bench! regards Andy
  4. Looks awesome, I was happy just with the observers station, but carrying it through to the front spar and including the ammo boxes is really cool! Thankyou for continuing the work on these! I have an early cockpit but I really want a mk21 so I guess I’ll order that with the rear section!
  5. G’day i was wondering if you had made any progress on the spitfire, or anything else you have in the works? I’m just getting back into the hobby, and was hoping to find news on more beaufighter upgrades? hope you are safe and well Andy
  6. Great to hear, and I hope Paul is well! I would take a Red Baron, also a fat face conversion, anything sea fury (I want a two seater as well as the single) also the Panther if it was to be offered again! it’s a great initiative, Paul’s work was beautiful to build! Cheers Andy
  7. Hi Dave, did these pylons ever make it to market? I kind of hope not, I have three harriers I’d love to include these with. I have just had another scan through your web page, seems I need to update my leathernecks stash! Andy
  8. Hey Rich, hope all is well, am reinvigorated, my cam A-6E is all done, learnt a lot in that build, suffice to say I’m keen to crack in to the EA-6A! Are you still looking at producing the conversion? If not I will have a go at trying to replicate your scratch building if that is ok by you? I have a few things on the bench which I need to clear first but this is next up! Cheers
  9. Hi, I stumbled on this thread after googling if anyone had built a 1/32 EA-6A as I too was thinking how good it would be. As a result I will join the line to buy the conversion set, Will look great sitting next to my planned cam A-6E from 89/90 aboard USS Constellation. Awesome work... Inspiring...
  10. Zero I am in the same boat! I got excited about the complete AM sets for the rhino I went ahead and pre-ordered them nearly 2 years ago. I was deployed on a ship at the time so ability to research was limited. I paid in full, which is a huge mistake in retrospect! I have chased this guy over and over and when he responds, which is rarely, it is with a lame excuse for the delay. The other issue is being in Australia, my ability to follow up on this bloke is limited, and that irritates me. I can't even recall if I used PayPal to pay the near 300 Aussie dollars. If you have any success chasing him please let me know. The wider affects of this guy's deceit is the tar he is brushing on other small garage industry producers, which is what this industry needs and relies on particularly for niche subjects. Please update me when you hear something, and I appreciate your efforts to shut him down Regards
  11. I did post pics, but I must have done something wrong, will have to see what I did wrong and try again
  12. Ok bit of work on the XV, the new nose is on, and being sanded to fit, so paint, sand, fill, sand, paint and so on and so forth. I have also modified (shortened) the kit gear, added retraction struts, but have to add torque links yet. I have also worked on the arrester hook, from plastic and brass (still to be sanded down) and all the links work, so moves left to right up and down. I have also modified the kit tail wheel. Basically the brace is the only thing left, the rest out of brass. I have also started work on the wing hinge and cut out the fold panels. The biggest issue right now is I am not sure how to do the bulges above the exhaust on the cowl, open to suggestions!!
  13. OK a little progress (just working out the best way to post pics). XV has a new spinner and cowl, just sanding it down to the right shape, I am still trying to figure out how best to do the 'knuckles' about the exhausts. I have cast a new instrument panel, just waiting on airdoc decals for the two panels (a couple additions for the griffin). I have been working on the wings and blocking in the undercarriage bay. I have had a mate do a bit of reason, in addition to the IP, I now have a second seat frame, a new seat and control column. All looks really good, and is a vast improvement on the Airfix originals. I have also been working on the two radiator panels, getting them to match left to right. I also have cast a couple of copies of the trumpeter UC legs, so I can modify them for the XV. its all coming along slowly, slower than I would hope, and will hopefully post pictures soon.
  14. Ok so its been a while.... clearly, but have just finished another stint at sea, another removal and have started to set up again, and knocking off the stalled projects, the seafires being the first. I have found a guy locally who is doing a little resin casting for me, and will turn a new spinner for the MkXV, so back to it. I am just sorting the kits out from bags, I have new bezels, a few placards, new 20mm brass barrels and a couple of other goodies. I will up date again soon hopefully with pics of a new spinner and assorted mods.
  15. Hey Nice build I am watching with very keen interest, particularly the props. I have a very old and beat up Airfix P-51 and some splendid red baron decals all in 1/24, but the prop and canopy are holding me back. What are you using? or did you use on the Ghost (gorgeous build and aircraft!) Any more detail on the props? Andy
  16. Mate I will watch this build with interest, particularly the combination of plastic and the Magazine kit. I have the whole kit from the magazines, and to be honest I am really surprised at the level of detail, so if you need copies of anything let me know and we can work something out. The only real issue is the clear parts are very very thick, and the turrets lack detail. If you know where I can get vac formed canopies and turret housings let me know (H2S too?) Anyway if you need anything, particularly IP, engineer panel or radios let me know and I can provide what I can Cheers Andy
  17. Hi John, Bit of a long shot, but any chance you have a Gannet or F-111 in the works? Otherwise I will have to settle for a Wyvern, F-94 and Hawkeye Andy
  18. Who is doing the research? I hope they are speaking to some guys here in Aus? Does anyone have good accurate plans for a pig?
  19. Oh giddy up!!! I'll be in for one of those for shizzle!! right best order the kit
  20. Mate do you know anymore about Rod Clements? Did he have any prep started or may he still have some stuff laying around? perhaps (pipe dream here but stick with me) organise to have a limited run made in AUS, I know it would be a hit here, the PIG is very dear to everyones hearts, as I am sure it was inthe states before its early demise to the F-15E. Anything you can provide would be great... I'll even keep you on top of the list... behind me of course!!
  21. Mate I downloaded all 3 plans from that paper website. i ahve never scratchbuilt before, but am soreley tempted to start, and amazingly enough it is either on one of the 3 you have above, or a 1/24 Spad!!
  22. Wow... What a plethora of possibilities on that website, I can't tell you how much I have downloaded in addition to the Pig.. Such possibilities...
  23. I know beautiful isn't it! Apparently there is a comp running for a decomissioning scheme for the RAAF's Pigs, and that is what I am thinking it will be... Hmm paper to plastic, could be an interesting way to start my first scratch project
